Puppies and small dogs over the age of 4 weeks should be given Bayer Expert Care™ Tapeworm Dewormer Tablets for Dogs in the following dosages according to weight:
The most common way dogs get tapeworms is from having fleas. Dogs that hunt or chase small rodents and rabbits (even in their own backyard) may also be at risk of infection from tapeworms.
Tapeworm segments are easily seen around your pet's anal region or in their poop, similar to grains of white rice. Of course, it's not always obvious that your dog has tapeworms, so the best way to identify a problem is through an exam performed by a veterinarian.
Deworming simply means getting rid of intestinal worms (parasites) in your dog. Worms can sound gross and embarrassing, but most dogs will get at least one type of intestinal worm at some point in their lives. Tapeworms are common in dogs. Deworming medications contain ingredients that break down and debilitate worms so they can be expelled from your dog's body.
The directions for Tapeworm Dewormer (praziquantel tablets) for dogs are simple! You can offer the proper dosage tablet(s), based on label directions, to your dog by placing the tablet(s) in a pill pouch or include in a type of food your dog will readily eat. Fasting is not necessary or recommended.

Luckily, one treatment with Tapeworm Dewormer (praziquantel tablets) for dogs should be adequate to clear out the tapeworms. However, steps should be taken to treat and prevent fleas on the dog (and other pets in the home) and remove rodents around the home or premises in order to prevent reinfection; otherwise, retreatment will be needed. One dose worked on both my dogs. Within hours they both had no more worms. I was a little unsure because the price was cheap but it really works. I will definitely buy this product again if needed and I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
Ordered medication did some research and this brand which was once owned by lily pharmaceutical company. Name kept popping up. Chewy fast delivery gave to my girl next day almost I seen no sight of worms. Will recommend
I was using RFD to treat my dogs worms and it wasn't working after two doses. I did more research and figured out that I was treating for round/hook worms and my dog had tapeworms. I bought this and it worked within a day or two. Before people go and say something doesn't work, make sure you are treating for the right worms!
We had a flea infestation when we first moved into our apartment because the outside (which our dog HAD to use) was infested and we weren't aware of it until we started seeing fleas on our dog and cats. The fleas carry whatever it is that causes Tapeworms! On the recommendation of a friend, who runs a rescue organization, I purchased this product! It really worked. Now, I keep a full box/bottle on hand all the time!
No more tapeworm!! Worked as directed! Easy application, if dog cooperates, no muss, no fuss!!
I gave this to my dog as directed (2 pills for 17 lbs). It worked, but starting 2 days after, she had terrible diarrhea. Gross yellowish bile-colored stool. Feeding her white rice/chicken helped, but be ready for side effects.
I’m trying to return but can’t find how. I never even opened the delivery box as my 19 year old baby was put to sleep before I could use them.Thank you for your help.
Doesnt work at all. My baby still has worms. I do not recommend you buying this at all
I gave my 54lb pitbull the amount recommended and the next day they came out of her poop dead. Haven’t seen anymore since. Hopefully they continue to be gone for good
It worked. She was acting like her self again. I do have to give her another dose but she is a bigger dog too.
