It is advertised as "locking". How do you lock the zippers?
Answer by ChewyJan 03, 2018
The front and side doors feature locking zippers for added safety and security. Once zipped all the way around, the pull tab on each zipper come together and are clipped secure.

Is the bottom of the crate (underneath) waterproof?
Answer by ChewyAug 12, 2018
The bottom is not waterproof.

How do you collapse the crate? I am having trouble
Answer by ChewyDec 31, 2020
Please just reverse the setup process as shown on the Setup Instruction. If you no longer have the Setup Instruction, please move the plastic connectors that connect the top HALF-bars and then separate the top-half bars. After that, you can easily fold away the crate.

Does the Elite Field soft sided 3 door dog crate open at the top?
Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2019
The doors are located in the front, on one side, and on the top of the Crate.

No match for a... 13 week old puppy?

We bought this as a secondary crate for our 13-week-old springer spaniel puppy. In the span of a week, she has ripped out and ruined one of the support arms, chewed the strapping within an inch of its life, and, today, figured out how to wiggle the zippers apart to jailbreak herself from the crate. My husband came downstairs to find the dog's crate wide open and her sitting like a queen in our kitchen. We had previously used the guardian gear soft collapsible crate and never had any problems aside from the set up being a pain in the butt. I'll take an annoying set up and a crate with lasting power of this thing any day.

Perfect for traveling with cats

I'm a 5 month old large kitten (1/2 maine coon). I love my crate. My mom takes me lots of places with her so I can go on play dates and this is how I travel. It's so comfortable and I can see outside when we're in the car. When I visit my kitten/cat friends they like to play in it too. My mom leaves it up all the time - so sometimes I like to just hang out inside on the wonderful lammy blanket. Sometimes I go in there just to see if my mom will get the hint and take me to play with my friends. My sister likes using hers as a cat tree when we're not traveling and likes hanging out on top of it. If we go far I even have my own little litter box that fits inside - very handy!

Disappointed

I only gave it 3 stars because I haven’t had this crate long and this is the third one I’ve owned but this one the zipper keeps catching and sometimes it takes several times to get it to zip. Loved the other ones I had and they lasted forever but this one must have a defect. Won’t keep me from buying from chewy because they are the best company out there

love our pop up crate

My dogs both have one of these my small dog just got hers and my large dog got hers a few years ago . I love these to travel ,my dogs go in and out by them selves and neither ruin them. They know their crates are for quiet time .They are so easy to set up and take down . No travel material bed wold be good for aggressive dogs or chewers ,that’s common sense .

Very disappointed

I so wanted this crate to work for me to use when I travel, and when I take my dog with me to other peoples’ houses. It has lots of good qualities, such as good sturdy canvas, lightweight and portable, easy to assemble and disassemble, and a nice soft pad for the dog to sit/lie on. However, after only a few uses, the zipper on the large side broke so that the dog could not be contained. I’m trying to figure out a way to close that side off permanently, maybe with duct tape. And then I can just use the smaller opening on the end, until that zipper breaks, which it inevitably will.

zipper broke

If I jf written the review when I first got the crate I would have given it 5 stars. It folds compactly with clips on the sides to keep it fairly flat. It’s lightweight making it easy to transport and with the mesh the dog could see out when put inside. However after 2 months, the zipper broke. I am so disappointed. I wish I had bought the metal crate even though it wouldn’t be as convenient.

Zipper broke after only 3 weeks

I have a small laborador puppy who is relatively calm and doesnt mess with his crate when put in it, the zipper on the door came off the track after only 3 weeks of very light use. This crate is nice, comfortable, portable, etc. but if the zipper breaks there is no way to fix it.

PERFECT FOR CRV

I got the M/L size and it fits perfectly in the back of my Honda CRV. My 60 pound lab has plenty of room. She is an easy traveler so the light, foldable, cloth model is great for her. It will be easy to schlepp into hotels. Great quality and highly recommended.

Bulldog approved

Our newly rescued bulldog did not like going in a wire crate, but absolutely loves this soft crate! It’s very sturdy, easy to put up & breakdown. The pad that is provided is thin and we have replaced it for something more comfortable and indestructible, but the crate itself is great!

Great size!

I actually bought two sizes, the large size and the 36 inch length size. The 36 inch size fits nicely and snuggly and to the backseat of my SUV. I use it for my for baby there is room inside for a small litter box and plenty room left over for relaxation. the larger size is great for when I foster kittens. The only thing it lacks is fasteners to attach to seatbelts.
