EnteDerm is a topical ointment prescribed by veterinarians to help treat pets with bacterial infections or yeast infections found in the ears. This medication is gentle and readily accepted by most pets, relieving stress for you both.

This medication is particularly useful in the treatment of acute and chronic otitis of varied causes, in pets with lesions located on their paws, and in anal gland infections. The preparation is also indicated in the management of dermatologic disorders characterized by inflammation and dry or discharge dermatitis, particularly those caused, complicated or threatened by bacterial or candidal (Candida albicans) infections. It is also of value in other types of dermatitis and as an adjunct in the treatment of dermatitis due to parasitic infestation.

Possible Side Effects

Please contact your veterinarian if the following adverse reactions occur: excessive thirst/excessive dilute urine, vomiting, diarrhea (occasionally bloody) or hearing loss. However, regression of hearing usually occurred following withdrawal of the drug. If hearing dysfunction is noted during treatment, discontinue its use. Cushing’s syndrome has been reported in association with prolonged or repeated steroid therapy in dogs.

Drug & Food Interactions

  • My go-to for recurring yeast ear infection

    By on

My Yorkie has been using this ointment on and off for almost 4 years, as she has a recurring yeast infection in one ear only. Within a day, I notice an improvement and she feels better! It doesn't sting, burn or smell and she willingly comes to me when I take out the box, as she knows it will make her feel better! I use it daily for about a week, until her ear is better. She gets a mild yeast infection about once every 3 months. It's not dit related, as her other ear is completely fine and has never had any issues. No paw licking either, so the vet prescribed this, and it's been a god-send.

  • Ointment works well

    By on

My 14.5 year border collie dog suddenly developed a lot of scab-like breakout on her skin with redness & clumps of hair loss. I could see she was feeling the itch. Applied this & those patches seemed to bother her less, though her fur appeared more matted & unkempt though i just gave her a bath. Well, as long as she feels better, that's more important!

My dog suffers from allergies and scratches her ears and chews her paws. I put this inside her ear flaps and her paws. Also when I had my other dog who passed on May 5 i would use on her as well. Works amazing. Packaging could of been better. Item came squished.
