How many cubic inches will this pack cover once rehydrated?

Can I use this for the floor of my Leopard Gecko terrarium?

Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2020
This moss is not recommended to use throughout the terrarium for a leopard gecko however, it can be used within a hide. Leopard geckos will need a humid/moist hide to help them when they begin to shed. The moist hide should be designed to be much higher in humidity than other hides. When leopard geckos begin to shed they need high amounts of humidity to prepare their skin to soften it so it sheds more easily.

Would this be safe for a crested gecko to use

I have White's tree frogs, corn snakes, king snakes, ball pythons, boas, isopods, tarantulas, and millipedes, so I use moss and mulch and all kinds of stuff for their substrate. But this stuff looks pretty, and it's soft, and it expands like crazy, but the best part is it readily absorbs water and holds moisture, so if you're struggling to keep your humidity levels up this is what you want!!

Did not expect this to come in brick form, but i am so happy that it did. Typically when you buy forest moss, it comes dried but loose in a package. This is a solid brick of moss that comes right to life when put in warm water. So much moss for the money. Quite satisfied!

Once you hydrate this moss added suck a superb look to the terrarium doing its job retaining moisture for proper hydration for the elements & humidity. And might I add, once I walked into the room that next morning, it was evident something was happening. I felt like there was something brand new about the room, the atmosphere was just different & the smell from that moss was a game changer. If I’d been blindfolded, you wouldn’t have been able to tell me that I was indoors! Additionally, with a humidity enriched atmosphere the moss also makes it easier for a hydration system to completely pick up the slack and assist with cutting down on individual trips with eliminating the need for frequent maintenance using a spray bottle. Additionally, feeder creatures thrive in the terrarium, using the moss as a natural resource-sustaining a longer lifespan (which means I save money), because they don’t just die or keel over, before being eaten. Its food source lasts much longer than ever before. I noticed the crickets getting fatter, building hideaways and thriving from the mosses moisture. No need for cricket quencher once they’re added to the terrarium. This moss serves as a natural water source. It simply serves as an ideal, complete ecosystem.

Nice...

Added humidity (where I needed it) and a nice pop of color. Would buy again if I was in need for the same thing. Overall very pleased.

Really good moss

I’ve never used exo terra moss before but I think it will be my staple now. I love the color and it expands well. I bought over 80 qt.

I use them for making a moss pole. In the past it works like a charm! My climbing pothos/monteras love it. They grow happy and healthy. Make sure you keep them moist

Easy to use and holds humidity well

Holds moisture well, all 3 of ky salamanders love you dig and hide underneath it. It was also easy to setup and one of the best types of moss I've used so far.

Not a 2 pack

It's just one block of moss, not two.
