Will this work for ducks as well? I have both.

This drinker is not suitable for ducks as the three side mounted freeze-free nipples are not designed for a ducks bill to fit.
Does this have a thermostat in the water? I want to make sure it turns on and off based on the local weather.

Awesome product

We bought 3 of these waterers and at negative 20 degrees, they worked perfectly!! The water was even slightly warm. The cords are longer than others we've used, making it so much easier to plug in and give them room to move around waterer. They took to it in just a few minutes. Would highly recommend!

worked nice, wish it lasted longer.

Worked well while it worked, but it didn’t last the entire cold season, about 4 months before the heater stopped working and then the water froze.

Northern Michigan winter

This waterer is perfect for northern Michigan winters. Water stays clean and thawed. We have 5 hens and 1 rooster. They have access to 3 nipples. Serves them well. The nipples were a learning curve for our chickens but after a few days of both waterers in their run, they got the hang of it. We removed the old style waterer and like the nipple system so well that we will be using a waterer with nipples in the summer too!

Awesome!!!

Read all the reviews and bought 3 of these waterers. I have other types that were used in the past, but these are the easiest to use and keep clean. I agree with all the 5 star reviews posted. (and as of 11/20/22 - all the reviews are 5 star)!

excellent product

It keeps the water from freezing and works excellently. It did not take very long before the chickens learned how to use it. I pushed the buttons and showed them the water coming out, that's all it took.

Works well

So far so good. Not frozen and 5 degree weather. Large enough for 7 birds to have water for approx 5 days

no leak bucket

I love this heated bucket. I have it sitting on a block in my chicken coop and it doesn't leak water which is a must in chicken coop. It easy to add water for the winter. nothing bad to say.

Works great

Works exactly as described. You can change the nipple pieces to the cups, but the water inside of the cup may freeze if you decide to swap them. Highly recommend this product.
