I was hoping my cats would like this food as the food I normally purchase was out of stock. The food is chunky. I have to put it in a blender and whip it up to

I was hoping my cats would like this food as the food I normally purchase was out of stock. The food is chunky. I have to put it in a blender and whip it up to get the chunks out. My old cats can then eat this. If you have a very old cat that needs a smooth liquid cat food this will not work for you. I hope the other brand comes back into stock.

Unfortunately it has potatoes and she seems not to last as long before she thinks it’s her next feeding time. I bought Hound and Gatos at the same time. Used AI (Grok) to research and make a plan. I will stick with H&G now.

The can said to stir before serving, I can see why now. It’s like having to mix a new peanut butter jar. The liquids are separated from the solids. But don’t let that discourage you, once it’s mixed, it stays mixed in the fridge and the kitties love it! I read other reviews that said their kitties didn’t like it or the smell was foul. This wasn’t the case for us. Both of our kitties love their new food and has created zero issues. In fact, it has helped them with bad fish breath. Now it’s gone! And it doesn’t stink imo. It helps our kitties with food allergies too as it has great ingredients. Overall a great purchase.

My goal was to switch my two adopted adult cats to a better grade food source and both being adopted I had no history of their diet prior to being rescued. Both came to me consuming what the rescues had in their “stores” for feed. I completed a good amount of research and was pleased to read the reviews for this food. The price point for a good grade food was also a deciding factor and being able to buy in large cans helped. The ingredients were spot on. I have one picky eater and another that will eat about anything. I did do a taste test which seemed to go well and using the slow introduction process neither would eat this cat food. I had so hoped this would end my search. I still would make Firstmate my number one choice but my felines did not.

Recently switched to this healthier grain free type of canned cat food. At first I thought our cats(4 of them) didn’t care for the taste bc they wouldn’t finish eating their portion- however I believe this happens is bc this type of cat food doesn’t have any fillers and our cats are satiated sooner and go back after while to finish rest of food
