    I wasted my money

By Sparkles on Jul 5, 2021

First, I did not realize this was such a big container. Second, I did not realize the pieces were so big. My red-foot tortoise does not even like it. I tried it both dry and wet. I get so tired of wasting money but it is such a hit and miss with what I feed him. Maybe he has gotten so used to eating fresh food that jarred or packaged food no longer appeals to him. But I wanted this as a backup for when I don't have the fresh food available for him.

    Tortoises love it!

By Care on Jul 4, 2021

My tortoises love it! As soon as I set it down they come running. Well a fast walk is more like it. Haha. It makes them happy so I’m happy. I do wet it down quite a bit for them.

My sonoran desert tortoise does not like it

By Diana on Jun 21, 2020

My sonoran desert tortoise, which is almost 6 yrs old (2 of them) do not like this. I'm not sure if they have a hard time eating it or just prefer the lettuce & fruits I always give them twice, sometimes 3 times a day. And the problem is, my beagle dog eats what they leave behind, I'm not sure this is good for my dog. I also didn't realize I was ordering such a big container. I read other reviews and I think it's a good product, maybe for bigger tortoises? I'm going to ask on my Nextdoor community app if anyone in the neighborhood uses this and perhaps donate it to them.

Great To Add to Your Tortoise’s Food

By TortoiseMom on Apr 7, 2020

I give this to our California Desert Tortoise. He eats it if I moisten it slightly (I use a teaspoon of apple juice) and crush the pellets. I mix it in with his normal meal of romaine, kale, and carrot shavings. Also good to add things like mulberry tree leaves and grape leaves if you have them. I tried the smaller pellets and he wouldn’t eat them, but these he loves if softened!

    Great product

By Turtlemom on Mar 30, 2020

My turtles are being transitioned into the larger size pieces. I think they will do very well and are starting to get used to it already. It looks like the same grape formula of the smaller pieces I've been feeding for years

    my turtles love these

By AbeM on Mar 22, 2020

It's part of my turtles variety of food. A combination of pellets and dried bugs. They float long after they need to.
