Formula 707's MultiFly Feed-Thru Fly Control for Horses offers a revolutionary solution for reducing fly populations in barns. The pelleted formula ensures efficacy by disrupting the fly life cycle in manure. Safe and easy to administer, MultiFly's active ingredient, Novaluron, prevents fly eggs from maturing, creating a healthier environment for horses and their owners.

Easy-to-Feed Pellets

Formula 707's MultiFly pellets feature Novaluron, a highly effective insect growth regulator (IGR). Novaluron works by disrupting the fly life cycle, preventing fly eggs from developing into adults. This helps significantly reduce the fly population around your barn. The tasty pellets, made with palatable alfalfa and wheat midds, are easy to incorporate into your horse's daily feed routine. By simply adding these pellets to your horse’s diet, you can provide comprehensive fly control effortlessly.

How to Use MultiFly for Best Results

For optimal results with Formula 707's MultiFly Feed-Thru Fly Control, feed the pellets daily to every horse in your barn. Each average-sized horse should receive one scoop of MultiFly. The active ingredient, Novaluron, passes through the digestive system and into the manure, disrupting the fly life cycle. Daily feeding keeps the manure inhospitable for fly larvae, significantly reducing the fly population in your barn.

My chickens free range and scratch around in the manure. I am cautious, and they don't eat the horse grain but is it safe for them to scratch through manure while feeding this product?

Answer by JayDeeAug 31, 2025
Our 60+ chickens are the cleanup crew for the 10 horse stalls…they all have enjoyed the grains, 707 multi-fly, and anything else that falls to the stall floors.

What is the day supply of this product?

Answer by ChewyMar 22, 2025
Using the scoop supplied with the product, mix one (1) scoop in the horse's ration every day for horses weighing less than 1,100 lbs. For horses over 1,100 lbs mix two (2) scoops in the horse's ration every day.

How long before we see a difference?

Answer by ChewyMay 14, 2024
Significant results may be observed within 2 weeks. In some cases, supplemental fly control measures may be needed in and around paddocks and buildings to control adult house and stable flies which can breed in decaying vegetable matter or silage on-premises or migrate in from other areas.

Can I stop feeding it in the Fall? If not, when?

Answer by ChewySep 12, 2025
This can be stopped when fly season ends or after the first freeze. Typically, it should be started again about a month before fly season begins or after the last freeze.

This is my first year to try feed through fly control. We had a case of Habronema with one of my mares, which is a horrible, horrible thing to deal with. It took two months of solid effort to heal the carnage caused by this fly and its larvae. I feel the flies have been somewhat reduced. There are times when I pick up the arena, stalls and paddock area that I definitely know there are less flies. However, feed through fly control is only part of the solution. I am picking up poop more often, using a perimeter spray on the feed tubs, diatomaceous earth in the dumpster and I should have bought stock in Piranha Fly Spray this year. I do have to say I started late on the feed through. Inn the future, because I live in a warm climate, I plan to suspend the feed through fly control only for December, January and February, start again in March and see if that makes a greater impact. I saw enough improvement to keep trying with this product, in concert with other fly control measures.

My 5 horses get this every day, starting March 1 until probably November. I have used it for 2 years. My horses have few flys, especially compared to the years I didn't use it. I've told friends about the product and they like it too. Now, there will still be some flys, but certainly not like it was prior to finding this product. It's fun walking out to see the horses and noticing flys are not here.

I pick up manure into tubs for a helper to come empty and spread once a week due to disability. When they were dumped, they were always full of larva, eggs, and maggots. Eeeew. I bought a 5lb bag to try it on my four horses. They accepted it without hesitation. Now, two weeks later, no more maggots/larva. NONE. And the fly population around the stalls and barn has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY in a few weeks time. I just ordered the 10lb bag. and will keep them on it until first frost and restart at the first sign of Spring fly activity. I am impressed to say the least. Finally, a product that works simply.

I started using this before Summer hit Maryland. It has definitely made a difference in the number of flies around my barn and paddock. I also put out two fly catchers to help. Between the two, the flies have been far fewer than any other years since I've been here (29 years).

Really wanted to like it

I did not see results in several weeks across 8 head of horses. I wanted to love it, I gave it a chance, but it was expensive to not see a change in fly production

I bought this foe pasture horses so didn't expect perfect results, but I'm thrilled with the result. I'll keep my entire herd on this product. It's amazing!

I think it WORKS!

Tried this, based on reviews at other sites... and I'm about 6 weeks in. Our fly problem is WAY DOWN from what it was a year ago!
