Can this be used in the bath with after shampooing I like to put on conditioner then let the conditioner sit while I detangle him would this brush work for that

I love this tool, and my dogs do, too!

Long-haired dogs get occasional mats and tangles, and this is my favorite tool for grooming them. My short-haired dogs like getting combed with this tool, too, even though they don't need the brushing like the fluffers. I have bought half a dozen of these, just so I can have one hand in my different cars and in the different houses we visit with our crazy lifestyle. My oldest "tangle remover rake & comb" is probably ten years old at this point, and still as sturdy as the day I bought it at a time I was buying every grooming tool I could find to try to cope with a collie-shepherd with foot-long hair. All those other purchases went to the thrift store as useless, but this design has done magic on quite a few different dogs with very different coat textures and hair length. I bought the smaller version rake/comb for my cat when old age meant her hair was starting to mat. She didn't like it much, but it helped where other grooming tools didn't.

My huge, very furry Persian mix isn’t a huge fan of having his hair brushed. Mats can be a problem for this lazy boy. This weird brush is so much better than any other we’ve tried. It’s really helps thinning his coat and it’s easy to keep up with his coat so he doesn’t get mats. Please don’t think you can just pull mats out with this thing, that would hurt your fur baby. Be gentle and consistent and you won’t have the problem.

This is a great size rake for a smaller dog or for tight areas like underarms. The spacing of the teeth is very effective. The only downside is it seems to be a bit harder or the teeth or pointier than my regular sized rake. (I'm not entirely sure which it is from looking at it.) My dog really doesn't like the rake at all and seems a little uncomfortable. But the alternative is leaving those pesky underarm mats. So he's learned to put up with it. The rake works extremely well, so it's just a matter of getting the dog used to it.

How it takes out tangles

I use this on my long haired cats and it takes put the tangles without having to pull hard or cut their hair. It's easy on their knots.
