This is a great size rake for a smaller dog or for tight areas like underarms. The spacing of the teeth is very effective. The only downside is it seems to be a bit harder or the teeth or pointier than my regular sized rake. (I'm not entirely sure which it is from looking at it.) My dog really doesn't like the rake at all and seems a little uncomfortable. But the alternative is leaving those pesky underarm mats. So he's learned to put up with it. The rake works extremely well, so it's just a matter of getting the dog used to it.

This is the mat remove to buy! I found out about it one YouTube after testing multiple on my Nebulung. She has no problem with brushes to the back but maintaining her stomach has been tough and there will usually be small mats. This brush combs them out with ease. It’s a little shocking how well it works compared to the others. I feel like I’ve wasted my money. I’m very happy with this purchase and so is my Suki!

This is the first comb I’ve found that actually pulls through small mats and knots in long hair without blades. I even used it to comb one of the cats who does not have mats and it pulled through a few dense areas that their best pin brush left behind. This comb is now the first grooming tool I’ll be using on the long-haired cats to prevent mats, as well.

Works well to lift out thick undercoat

My cat has a double coat with thick, long fur. The undercoat has a cottony texture that mats badly for six months of the year. I still like the metal straight

My cat has a double coat with thick, long fur. The undercoat has a cottony texture that mats badly for six months of the year. I still like the metal straight comb, but this comb is better for getting down deep and lifting out the undercoat. It doesn't actually remove mats. You still have to cut them out, but it helps prevent them by getting that undercoat out. The shape and handle hole is great for control and getting into any spot. The smaller size is tolerated better because it doesn't pull on as much area. I use it regularly and I'm glad I tried it.

This rake is brilliant for my Poneranian!

I have been struggling for 10 years to keep my Pom's thick coat combed out and smooth. I tried slicker brushes, combs with teeth that spin, and other assorted grooming devices but this is magic. The comb goes all the way to the skin and removes the loose undercoat with ease. My life is forever changed for the better. My dog likes it too because it takes me half of the usual grooming time to get the job done. I highly recommend this rake for your double-coated fur babies.
