This little mat is easy to clean and helps with the dreaded cat litter scatter. It isn't entirely foolproof, as we use feline pine and it tends to develop very light pieces of wood that get all over the floor, but when the cat misses the box it's very easy to clean by hosing down. Recommend.
I have a very messy cat. She is kind of crazy. She makes a huge mess with litter. Buying the enclosed box and this mat fixed my problem. Seriously. It really grabs any litter of her paws and I can slide it right back in the box.
I have another mat like this that works great. This one is large, which I wanted, but very stiff. The cats don’t like walking on it so they jump out the side of the box. Plus the holes are so big (which is also why the cats don’t walk on it) that when I pick it up to dump it the litter falls right out of the holes! Defeats the purpose of the mat! I’ll spend more on a better quality one.
It works well if your cats actually step on it. Mine would jump over it to start (which is not the product's fault). It doesn't catch everything and can be a bit messy to clean but has been a worthwhile purchase.
I wanted to love this, but I ended up hating it. I thought the design of the mat was great but everything about it fell short when I used it. It’s so small and my cats didn’t like to step on it. My cat got sick on it and it was difficult to clean and I’m kind of relieved they got sick on it since I’ve forced myself to use it. Now I’ve happily switched to a silicone mat and will never go back!
I purchased three of these and unfortunately should have only purchased one. I have a Ragdoll and two rescues who love to play in their litter. And even if they don’t they track it from the bedroom through the hallway all the way down the stairs into the family room. It’s a lot of work to keep up with and they don’t like litters with their lids on them. So that means I end up vacuuming every day upstairs before the kitties come downstairs and I vacuum every night from my German Shepherd‘s because they shed terribly. Fortunately they all get along I’m just having a hard time finding a way to keep the litter contained because it’s embarrassing to even have someone over
We needed this for an additional litter pan in the house and had difficulty finding a mat that is waterproof in case of urine accidents outside the litter pan. We discovered that many mats are just to keep track of litter that is scattered. So this May for our needs, with a bottom that is rubber
I had thought it was unnecessary to buy a mat specifically for the litter box, but this mat has really helped keep the litter mess down. It's a good size and catches the litter between the layers. Easy to clean.
It is doing its job but the prior ones I had bought is made with better material. Not excited with what this may is made of.
I've tried 3 different kinds of "trap" mats. This one by far has been the best. Outside of my fuzz butt deciding to kick the litter out like she's a dog burying a bone, it does a great job of catching the foot crumbs when its normal litter usage. I love this mat
