How to clean mat

This mat is machine washable. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, no spin. It should not be placed in the dryer. Press excess water from the mat and lay it out flat to air dry. You can also spot clean this mat, as needed.

Can you shake the mat out between washings

Is this mat slip resistant? I need something that will stay in place.

This mat is not completely slip resistant. The Fresh Kitty Foam Litter mats are the same material being used for shelf liners but less gripping due to the waterproof coating added onto it. As long as a heavy cat box full of litter is sitting on top of the mat, the mat will stay in place.
