We have three cat (16 y.o., 7 y.o.and 6 months) and a large assortment of food and water dishes for them. The ultimate favorite dish, the one the cats jostle each other to eat out of, is a melmac-type of dish about 3/4s of an inch deep we picked up somewhere (wish I could remember where). This Frisco Cat Face dish was the closest I'd ever seen to the favored dish, so I ordered two. I could have saved myself the money, used teacup saucers and ended up with the same result - cat food everywhere but in the dish. These are much too shallow to be suitable for feeding dry cat. The food ends up in a circle around the outside of the dish. These dishes might work well for canned food but our senior siamese can't eat canned food, so nobody gets canned food. Our elderly neighbor feeds all the neighborhood ferals canned food so I plan to give her the dishes. The search for the magical melmac dish continues.
I had been looking at these on the site for a while, but could not quite bring myself to buy because I needed 8, and it was not really an 'essential purchase'. When the price dropped, Ii bit the bullet and bought them (they are SOOOO CUTE). Glad I did. They are adorable, and a great size, and the non-skid feature makes them GREAT! Shallow depth is good for kitties eating wet food.
I am very happy with these plates. My kitties like the flat surface and they don't push the food off because of the little sloped edge. The plate also doesn't move when they are eating because of the non-slip bottom. Holds 3 oz can of wet food really well.
...but even cuter! The only reason for 3 star is that it is really too shallow for food or water without food getting shoved out of the bowl. I'll give to my cat-loving granddaughter for an earring holder.
I'm so glad I found this dish. It is so cute and the perfect size for wet food and lickable treats. Sturdy ceramic with silicone ring on the bottom to keep the dish from sliding. Great quality and price!
Nice plate about the size of a plate for a tea cup but not suitable for sloppy eaters like my cats are. OK if you don't mind the mess.
They are very cute! My dear cat, Poe, is a black cat, so I could not pass these up when looking for a new bowl for her. They do not slide around on my tile floor when in too much rush to set up her mat, so I am very happy. They are small bowls but fit one serving of food.
My cat wasn’t eating her kibble as well and is very tiny so I didn’t want her losing weight. Having read about whisker fatigue I ordered this plate. She eats much better now and the plate is so cute.
These Frisco saucers are super cute & the perfect size for serving treats or wet food. Pattern is well done, no defects. Skid proof bottom helps keep dishes stable. Microwavable & dishwasher safe make them extremely functional too.
This bowl is so small that all the food gets licked right onto the floor. The description reads 1” depth but that is not the inside depth, which is the crucial part. The true depth is 1/2”. It’s cute but don’t waste your money on it.
