This is a great quality durable and stable crate and it is also the perfect size for my dog. I bought it to replace a similarly sized crate that my dog grew too tall for. The next size up in the crates I was seeing was just enormous for her. After chatting with Chewy they did some digging into measurements and found me this crate. She has room to stand up now which is exactly what we needed! Basically I did not realize that even the same "size" crate from the same brand can have slight variations in size because of the models. Chewy found us one that added just a couple inches of width and height. Thanks Chewy!
This crate far exceeded my expectations. It is heavy duty, very durable. My daughter's dog has been able to pop the weld on her dog's lighter-weight crate, putting the dog in a dangerous situation. This crate is very sturdy and strong. Latches are smooth and easy to open and close. Double doors are helpful in finding the perfect place for the crate. Good size for a larger dog. All in all, this crate met and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!
I like how sturdy this crate is. It is also very well made, and the quality is nice. The locks for the doors are a little odd and sometimes hard to maneuver in the dark/early morning when you're half asleep, but it isn't a big enough issue to keep me from ever buying another if I need to.
I agreed to take a dog from owners that didn’t want it anymore. Based on what we told the breed is, I ordered a XL kennel. Turns out the dog is smaller than my other dogs and the kennel is massive. However, the divider allows me to cut the kennel almost in half and use it for both dogs (comfortably) that need to stay in a kennel during the day. So far it’s sturdy (even with one that periodically claws at it) and the plastic slide is nice as both dogs bring it a lot of dirt and sand. Very pleased with purchase and would recommend.
Our puppy outgrew his crate, and Chewy came threw with a awesome and affordable crate, It is very sturdy and well built. Our puppy sleeps securely all night and even likes to go in and nap in it. Love the 2 doors too.
I have a 2 year old Belgian Malinois and this a perfect fit for him. I'd say even a little on the large side. Came with 2 handles for easier carrying that can be easily removed and attached. One of mine came broken but isn't a big deal since they can be removed. I'd choose this size over the 42 any day!
The plastic pan rocks on the floor wires when my puppy is in the crate. The plastic pan does not fit all the way to the edge and my 10 month old Border Collie has found this edge to chew on when crated, preferring the pan over her chew toys. Chew toys fall into this gap. The wires are thinner than I expected for a heavy duty crate. Two doors are nice and the crate was easy to set up. I am using this crate indoors on carpet but the puppy on the rocking plastic pan is noisy.
Perfect for our new dog, easy to set up and use, not too heavy to move around and he loves it. He can sit upright without crouching and move about. We have a 55 pound Belgian Malinois.
Decided to upsize for my year old puppy so I got the 48”. Came as expected (would recommend a 2 person lift for the box) and was very easy to set up. The enclosed handles were a nice surprise, but they both broke the first time I tried to lift it. They probably include the same handles for each size crate. Might want to consider beefing up the handles with the heavier crates.
Let's be honest, I chose this brand due to price! So for the price, It is definitely worth it. First, it came in 2 days! Super fast service! I purchased the heavy duty one due to reviews. I also watched the video when I purchased the item because several people complained they couldn't figure out how to set it up because the instructions where inside the crate and you can't access them until you set it up so they were sending it back...! Because I watched the video, I set it up within 30 seconds. I didn't need to bend anything or alter anything thankfully like some but would have if needed. If you make sure that everything is secure and where it should be, it's much stronger than if you don't. My puppy is only 4 pounds now but will grow to 40lbs quickly. I have set up the divider which also only took seconds and unlike another review, there is a way to set up the divider if you need to use the side door instead however, the front door is all you need for a small pup and I don't recommend using the side with the divider. The crate would be ALL doors and then they would complain it's not sturdy. Just saying. Sometimes people are never happy but for the cost, this crate will last my dogs for life. And while some dogs I am sure get bored, and figure out how to open the crates, there are many ways to solve this issue if you are truly worried. I have cattle dogs who want to solve everything so, I will update my review if they do open them and I alter them but for now, Please understand when looking at reviews that while many are valid, some you just can't please and then compare this crate, with those double and triple the cost. Unless your pet is super hyped to get out of their crates on the daily, this crate is a great value for the average dog! Superman's dog may need something different.... The red portable, crate in the photos we paid $40 for and it only lasted 30 days. He had just grown out of it when this new one showed....he doesn't like leaving the doors open so, he's closing them....lol!
