Good, but not perfect
Have had 3 of these for my 2-cat household, for about 3 years. Pros: sufficiently large, easy to clean, keeps litter and urine mostly contained. Cons: the clips that secure the lids have fallen off, one after another, now mostly gone, and lids don't seem to be available separately; now it seems that the charcoal filters are also "no longer available." This does not please me! Seems like very poor quality, so cannot recommend. PS: Neither my cats nor I liked the door flap, which I removed and discarded as soon as I set them up. Some cats might be okay with it, mine wer not.
small problem with frisco hooded litter box
the entrance door to the litter box is somewhat warped. this leaves a gap in the unit when it swings to the "closed" position. when she tries to cover up she throws a lot of the litter out of this opening. also sometimes when she urinates some of also this comes out of the box. is it possible you could supply a new door that would correct this problem. tks dferg.
good sturdy plastic
This is second Frisco cat litter box I have ordered. Compare with all my other previous cat litter boxes, this is the most sturdy and the best quality. However, on the newer model I am missing top handle that would be easier to lift top part to clean. Older version box I loved the most. I also love curved corners that is easier to maneuver with scooper when I clean
it's fine i guess
The hood arrived slightly cracked on the front. My cat did not personally like the plastic door so I removed it and that also broke immediately. the hinges are flimsy as well. The bottom box part is roomy and easy to clean but spend your money on a different hooded litter box unless you want the hood to fall apart.
Not a leakproof solution.
I purchased this litter box in the hope that it would solve my problem with my female cat who stands as tall as she can and pees all over the wall (or out) of litter boxes. Unfortunately this box doesn't actually seal well where the 2 parts come together and pee leaks out the side anyway. If that's not an issue you are dealing with the box is likely a fine solution.
Door broke within 2 months
I like this litterbox. It used to keep all the litter enclosed with help from the swinging door. One day, after about 2 months, one of the plastic knobs on the swinging door broke which then makes the swinging door useless. It's been nothing but litter everywhere and intense smells. Is there a way I can get a replacement door? Please? I can't afford to buy the box again.
So Far, keeps messy cat from peeing on walls
We have a long-legged boy who was always peeing outside the litter box, not deliberately, just because he's so tall. This is a nice, big box, lots of room. We took the door off because he wasn't getting the hang of exiting (he'd climb out, though the top of the door instead of opening it...). Either way, less mess MUCH less stink and MUCH less expensive than the cat box houses we bought (on a different site).
Litter box
This really isn't a bad litter box except the door broke so quick. It's so cheap and flimsy but I didn't think it would break almost right after I purchased it. It was great before the door broke. Plenty of space for two kitties though.
Not great
Nice size litter box and great for my two cat household, but this one is a big pain to scoop out every day compared to my old one! There is no lift flap to easily access the box, just the door on the front. Pass
Litter goes everywhere
I would not recommend. The litter goes everywhere. The door has already broken on both that I bought in the last month. Also, it is cheap plastic pieces on the latches. Do not waste your money.
