How often would you suggest to change the litter. I do understand that it says to add new litter to maintain 4 inches but, how often should the old litter be thrown away to be replaced with new?

Answer by ChewyOct 15, 2018
Twice a week is a general guideline for replacing clay litter, but depending on your circumstances, you may need to replace it every other day or only once a week. If you clean the litter box daily, you might only need to change clumping litter every two to three weeks.

I feel silly asking this, but is the lavender scent safe for cats?

Answer by ChewySep 23, 2018
The fragrance used in the litter is synthesized using the same standards as fragrances that are meant for human use, using strict guidelines and certified suppliers that ensure it’s free of allergens or harmful volatile chemicals. The fragrances are also encapsulated so they are released mostly when in contact with your cat’s urine, which means the fragrance is designed to be light and gentle overall.

What creates the lavender scent

Answer by ChewyJul 09, 2018
This litter has a proprietary odor-neutralizing technology that fights strong ammonia odors instantly, and each swipe of the paw releases a fresh, floral scent.

How often do you have to change litter

Answer by ChewyAug 18, 2018
It is recommended to scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Then, add more Frisco litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 Inches.

This is the second time that I've had a problem with a litter delivery. This time I ordered two 40-lb bags, but only one was delivered. I got a notification about a "failed delivery attempt" yesterday which was nonsense because I was home all day and got other deliveries. I have a feeling that one of the cartons was damaged during shipping. But the other one arrived today, so I will wait to see what happened to the other one.

I read the reviews on this litter and decided to try it out since it was much cheaper than the litter I was using. While it clumps well and controls smell amazingly, the dust is INSANE! Pouring it into the litter pans resulted in a huge cloud. Even just scooping daily creates a cloud and makes you cough. This may be good if you have outdoor litter boxes but I would not recommend for normal indoor day to day litter boxes.

Great clumping litter

I decided to try this litter after reading reviews because I have a lot of rescues so I’m trying to cut cost without sacrificing odor control and clumping ability. This litter surprisingly does both. It clumps well and doesn’t break apart when scooping. It also doesn’t create a lot of dust. I’ve been using Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal for years and think this litter is just as good at a fraction of the cost.

Super clumped

I was actually surprised for the price, I use an automatic litter box and this works so good with it. The smell isn’t overwhelming either. I can go almost a month

I was actually surprised for the price, I use an automatic litter box and this works so good with it. The smell isn’t overwhelming either. I can go almost a month w/o changing the bag in the bottom of the automatic box w/o it starting to stink up my bathroom too. I only have one small female cat and she doesn’t eat a whole lot. It is dusty but I got a great mat from chewy that really works. It has holes in the top and the bottom is flat. The litter slips through the holes and then you can pour it out of the end of the mat back into the litter box. It’s honestly genius. It’s called the cat litter trapping mat name brand starts with an F

I use this litter in my home and in my Mom's Apt. Swish is a HUGE 23# orange boy so Mom needed a good litter and a bigger box. This litter doesn't track much if you have a litter mat outside your box. All of my cats seem to like this litter. There have been no going outside the box since I started using this litter.

This litter has a very subtle lavender smell that is very nice. Some other scented litters are just too strong as they are trying to mask the urine smell. This is not the case with this Frisco litter. It has a low dust, and the tracking isn't terrible, but let's be honest, it is almost impossible to have no litter come out when your cat exits the litter box, but this one is pretty minimal. The price is very reasonable for a 40lb bag also. I will continue to buy this litter and highly recommend to others.

I am impressed with this cat litter- I now have 6 cats and keeping up with the litter pans has been a lot of work- after trying other types of litter, Frisco works amazing- litter I tried previously still stunk after a short time. Frisco seems to last twice as long. You can pick it and add fresh litter as needed and it still keep the stink in control.

It is just too heavy

It did handle odor control. It did not cause a lot of dust. There was very little tracking. However, the litter itself was heavy, especially after it has been used

It did handle odor control. It did not cause a lot of dust. There was very little tracking. However, the litter itself was heavy, especially after it has been used and the litter box needed to be cleaned. Just carrying the used litter out to the dumpster was a task I was unable to handle. Fortunately, my son could.
