I can't believe this actually grew. I can't keep ANYTHING alive (except my pets, obviously). But I followed the instructions, though instead of leaving it in a dark place for 3 days I forgot about it until 6 days had passed, and it had grown a lot! I took it out and watered it and it grew super fast. It's only been out for my cats to enjoy for 1 or 2 days now but I have seen one of my cats nibbling at it. So far they haven't made a mess of it; the grass grows really densely so they can't dig up the dirt like they normally do. I'm ordering a few more to make their eating area more fun.
I have been using these for years. Some cats ignore it, some like it and will nibble throughout the day, and then you have Tiggers who ripped the entire plant out of the bowl and dragged it all over then laid on it and nibbled on grass all day. So be warned! I hope you have the middle type who nibble now and then. it does need a strong source of light, but a bright window or bathroom might do. BTW, I was late to learn why an obligate carnivore needs grass. Vet told me in the wild, they eat their prey's last meal. might be grass, berries, or your garden. so I think it is necessary to provide at least some of their wild diet.
I have two cats that are 13 years old. Never of them are interested in this. waste of money. I have a grass window garden now hahaha. Asked my daughter if she wanted it for her cat . Said she tried it and the cat kept upchucking it. oh well
The grass grew incredibly fast and tall, but it is very tall and spongey. Lucee will not smell it or eat it. She won't have anything to do with it. Maybe some other cats will eat it, but she is very finicky.
This grass grew sooooooooo fast and lush! My cats are loving the "Salad Bowl" I sprouted ours in our laundry room on top of my dryer. It only took 2 days and it was off and running!
After it grew, my cat just ignored it, did not eat any at all..I gave it to a friend for her cat but hers just ignored it too. And our cats eat real grass all the time.. Not a good product!
Seeds sprout in less than a week and quickly grow to the size cats like. With this product you get enough seeds to start several pots of grass. Start a new one every couple of weeks.
Wasn’t interested in it until it finally grew a decent amount. He started eating it and 2 minutes later instantly threw up and started choking on It. Guess I have to throw it out now. Won’t buy again.
I planted some of the seeds in a pot and within three days some of the grass was sprouting. I left it on my kitchen counter and my cat was able to eat. Great product
This is a great product! After following the easy instructions, the grass sprouted up beautifully--very happy with this product!
