Ball is Styrofoam, cats unimpressed

I was hoping this was going to be an instant win for our cats, since one of them loves to lay sideways and spin our Ikea poof with his paws (and yes, it's as cute

I was hoping this was going to be an instant win for our cats, since one of them loves to lay sideways and spin our Ikea poof with his paws (and yes, it's as cute as it sounds!). Unfortunately, neither of our cats were very enthusiastic about this Christmas gift. One gave it a few half-hearted spins, as if trying to humor me. The angle just doesn't seem good for serious scratching or play. The scratch mats on the top and bottom attach with Velcro, with the rough velcro side attached to the wood with staples. Be warned they don't line up perfectly, so it takes some work to get them to stay attached. Also, the ball is made of Styrofoam under the sizal rope, so be aware it's not as sturdy as it might appear. All in all, my cats gave it a very unenthusiastic "meh," so I'll rate it two stars. They had more fun with the Chewy box it came in than the toy :(

I’m really impressed with this huge yard ball scratcher. My cats were curious the second it came out of the box, and now they’re obsessed. The size gives them plenty of room to scratch and stretch, and the round shape makes it a playful spot they keep coming back to. It’s sturdy, looks great outside, and has held up beautifully even with daily use. Watching them roll around, climb on it, and sharpen their claws has made it totally worth it.

Easy to assemble

I thought the assembly was very easy but after showing Clovis and Trinket their new toy there was no interest. Perhaps this is meant more for kittens than adult

The ball is foam.

It’s a dense-ish white foam wrapped in sisal. I cannot in good conscience donate this to anyone. It’s likely to crumble apart.

Thought he would like it to scratch on

Receive defective screws were missing the ordeal. I have to go through with chewy to return and refund. This product is ridiculous. It's been a week-long process

And still, nothing is resolved. Whatever happened to if you get something that's defective or you don't want you just return it. Why do you have to go through an ordeal? And a care team looking into what to do next about it? I am so finished with chewy.

That the ball was affixed to styrofoam.

I do not recommend. It is a cheaply built product that my cats have totally ignored. I bought 3 because it was advertised as a “deal”. My husband put them together
