There are scratchers and then there are scratchers kitties can lounge on. This step-in scratcher from Frisco by Chewy is made of layers of pressed wavy cardboard that shred easily under your cat’s claws without pulling, and provides a spot for your kitty to relax in, too. Let your buddy keep busy scratching, it’s not a cat’s way of slacking—it helps support nail health and satisfy an instinctive urge that feels good for felines. Also, it helps keep claws off your furniture. A packet of catnip is included for an added chill (or thrill) factor.

Simply open the included catnip packet and sprinkle on the top of the scratcher. These scratchers include a solid base to ensure the catnip stays in the toy, not on your floor.
Bought this for my cats and foster that recently came to live with us. My cats love laying in boxes and it's even better when they get to use their scratching instincts. This scratcher is currently in the space where my very shy foster is staying. She feels safe coming out of her hiding spots and sitting in this with the sides on it. It also holds her toys when shes not playing with them. When these go on sale I love buying a couple knowing I'll go through them or that they're good to donate.
I bought this step-in scratcher for the second time for my soul kitty’s 13th birthday. The first one my girls had they loved, but ultimately shredded. If your cats are little paper shredders like mine be wary that the sides of this are prime targets for eager teeth. But with supervised playtime they last a good long while and my cats are absolutely obsessed.
My 3 cats love this product. Who knew something so simple could be so loved. I only purchased 1 to see if they would like and to my surprise the love it. They take turns sitting in it and gloat that they got to it first. While the other 2 wait their turn. It also helps with their scratching desire so it's a win win!! Would recommend. I didn't use the catnip either because past experiences for me we not desirable.
I purchased 2 of these boxes so that my cats can have something to scratch, unfortunately I have 5 cats and only 2 boxes. They all love these boxes. Someone is always sleeping in them. The only issue I have is not enough of these boxes. Sometimes there’s conflict over the boxes. The smallest cat usually gets his way though. At 9.2 lbs and full of mischief this little monster terrorizes his much bigger brothers, sister and mamma. It’s been months since my purchase and these boxes have held up wonderfully. I completely recommend these boxes
Heftier than I was expecting, in a good way! This seems like it'll stand up to some abuse from the cats, who are already loving it. The catnip that came with the scratcher was far more powdery than I was expecting. I'm also wondering if it was old because the cats were uninterested in the included catnip. But, I had some catnip on hand so I just used that.
As soon as I unwrapped this scratching box there were already 2 cats interested prior to the catnip being added. I also appreciate this being large enough to accommodate my 15# chonk. This is one of several scratching items I offer them (I also have a tall post = SmartCat "The Ultimate 32-in Sisal Cat Scratching Post", a horizontal heavy wooden board = SmartCat "Bootsie's Combination Scratcher", a SmartyKat "Scratch Scroll Cat Scratcher", & 2 big trees.) My only complaint about this particular item is that it's made in China instead of USA.
Got this recently for our new 10 wk old kitten. Pinot Noir hasn't yet developed a taste for "the 'nip" but he enjoys sleeping in it. We placed it in front of his carrier, treating that like a crate, and placed it alongside the dog's crate so lil' Pinot has his own safe place to crawl into. Maybe in a month or so he'll become a "nipper", then start to use it for it's intended purpose. At least he hasn't confused it with the litter box, so that's a very good thing!!
We loved the pretty flowered box, our cats looked at it and did nothing. We ended up regifting to our neighbor, their cat Danny took to it immediately and he lives there happily ever after! All's well that ends well!
Our cat Lucy absolutely loved it and took it over when I placed it on the floor. She loves to scratch it, sleep in it and just relax in it. She knew right away that the box was for her. She love the catnip as well and enjoys it each time I some more. It is definitely Lucy's scratch box now.
I purchased one for a Christmas gift for my new cat, however his sister became very jealous very quickly! They both took turns sleeping and relaxing in the bed to the point where I had to purchase an additional one to avoid any tension. They absolutely love these beds. The cardboard bed can be flipped once the top surface gets scratched up, extending its life. The cat nip that comes with it is effective for the cats that love catnip. The patterns are stylish and fit well in my home. Don’t hesitate- if your cat sleeps in boxes, they will love these beds.
