FurHaven Deluxe Oxford Orthopedic Indoor/Outdoor Dog & Cat Bed with Removable Cover, Large, forest

I bought this to sit on the back covered porch. The cover is looser than expected but the padding is decent. When I opened the package, I noticed a strong chemical from the bed cover. It's been sitting on the porch, outside for over a week, and I still smell the chemical smell every time I walk out the back door. Phineas doesn't seem too bothered by the smell and sits on the bed anyway, but it is stinky. I hope it fades.

Our standard poodle has been recently diagnosed with advanced kidney disease. We love spending as much time as possible on our patio in the summer, and she always wants to be right next to us. But the concrete patio is not comfortable for her, and she has trouble getting on and off the chairs. I decided to build her a raised outdoor bed, and bought this mattress for it. I built the bed frame to match the size of the bed for a perfect fit. She was hesitant at first, but after I guided her up on it, she took right to it. She appears to be very comfortable in it. It is large enough for our other dog, a mini schnauzer, to sleep on it with her, and small enough to fit under the eves. I wish I would have picked a different color, but the dogs don't care, and I'm happy my girl can hangout with us outdoors and be comfortable.

It did not last 12 hours. The cover is so thin it ripped after the first few circles my dog took to "find his spot". I guess if you have a dog that just lays down and never moves, it will be ok, but mine like to turn circles until they get their space just right. So, literally after having it one night, the cover was not usable.
