What is the difference between this one and the the yellow one item 149573

This Deshedding Tool is the newer FURminator model. The Small Turquoise option is bested suited for Small cats with short hair. The Medium Purple option is best suited for Medium/Large cats with long hair.

my long hair cat has hair that has snarled up, will this tool help in removing these problems?

This tool is designed to remove the loose, dead undercoat from the pet without cutting or damaging the topcoat. To safely and easily remove matted hair, we recommend the FURminator Adjustable deMatter Dog & Cat Tool instead.

Good quality, sturdy

I think the phrase, "you get what you pay for" pretty much sums it up for this shedding comb. I was reluctant to spend the money, but the product works extremely

I think the phrase, "you get what you pay for" pretty much sums it up for this shedding comb. I was reluctant to spend the money, but the product works extremely well and is nice and sturdy. I had tried to go the cheaper route with an inferior comb and you can definitely tell the difference. I have two Norwegian forest cats and they can mat fairly easily if not cared for properly. If you've got a long-haired cat this comb is worth the investment.

My cat absolutely loves it and so do I. She is a big Maine Coon and she absolutely loves getting brushed with this. She will actually roll over on her back and let me brush her belly. I also like that the brush retract so that you don’t scratch yourself on it when you’re not using it. I think it’s a very well-made product and I highly recommend it.

Reduced Shedding

What a great tool!!! Not only is it effective and easy to use, it also is gentle on the cats! Reduces the amount of hair I have to vacuum and pick up daily!

Makes her coat so shiny

Maya is a Bombay cat with three layers of velvety black-on-black fur. This comb is the ONLY one that really gets the under layers and removes loose hair, etc. Excellent

Wonderful tool. Much better than the slicker I'd previously purchased. Cats really enjoy it, both the long haired and the short haired.

Amazing for long haired cats

I honestly am shocked by how much hair this collected compared to other brushes -- mostly undercoat which I wasn't even aware of before my vet suggested trying this

I honestly am shocked by how much hair this collected compared to other brushes -- mostly undercoat which I wasn't even aware of before my vet suggested trying this as a way to help relieve her digestive issues. My cat's coat has never been more silky and smooth. Not sure if it's best to use daily or not but if your cat has long hair, I highly recommend! I wouldn't be too aggressive on any tough tangles, as I think it can hurt your kitty -- just get a buzzer and remove if so. Also want to echo that the clicking button to release hair is unnecessary -- the sound scares my cat, and the hair comes easily off the comb by just using your fingers.
