A costly gamble, and I lost. Dog will not eat it.
By 2Shepherds on Jan 19, 2021 Top 1000 Contributor
So disappointed I can't get our Shepherd to eat this, since I wanted to supplement the canned and add more moist food in order to decrease her dry consumption. She loves rabbit canned we've tried, but will not eat this, no matter how I try to get it past her. No idea why, the ingredients and company are top notch. She's just picky I guess. I just wish they offered a smaller sample bag, since I'm not too happy about her causing me to waste this much $.

My dogs love this! I use it as a topper on their kibble and I feel great that I'm giving them something healthy and made in the US from a family owned business made from ingredients from US Farmers.

GRANDMA LUCY'S PERFORMANCE RABBIT
By TwoGermanShepherds on Jan 13, 2021
My girls LOVE this stuff! Seems a bit expensive for a 10 lb bag, BUT you add water and it makes 46 pounds of food! This is probably as close as I can get to feeding real raw, so this is a great option!

Baylee loves Grandma Lucy's!
By Sherry on Mar 29, 2020
Baylee loves Grandma Lucy's! I love feeding it to him because of it's ingredients and that it's freeze dried. I have used Chewy for many years now, for all of Baylee's needs. I even own stock in Chewy because that's how much believe in Chewy as a company. Your customer service is second to none in any ANY industry I have ever dealt with. Thank you for always standing behind your great products, pricing and treating your customers like family. As an ICU nurse on the front line of COVID19, it gives me some relief knowing that I can count on Chewy to take care of all of Baylee's needs during this difficult time. Thank you Chewy, for all you do!

needs more meat
By monbon on Apr 1, 2020
I bought this food for my senior boxer who really benefits from being on a raw diet. She is much friendlier and less reactive overall on raw. This is a really good blend but after feeding her more than the guidelines for her weight she was still always hungry. I realized that there is not actually a lot of meat in the bag and I think the high protein amounts actually comes from the chickpeas—which I don’t really think dogs benefit from as much as real rabbit meat.

TOO RICH for my dog
By Chris on Mar 18, 2020
I started feeding my dog this food and within seven days he was having horrid diarrhea. I would like to return this. I have had good luck with the fish pure performance--never had any problems, but it was expensive. I switched to this and didn't read the ingredients. I think adding the chickpeas and such is causing a problem.

My coonhound can't get enough

I've obsessed trying to find the best food. This is just great food. I use it one of my bases and I have to struggle to not feed him more because he wants it that badly. It's hard to find a dehydrated food without lentils or complex carbs. Don't give this one star because your dog won't eat it. They love the Rabbit
By Mollie on Jan 9, 2020
I have a Maltese with Cushing and diabetes and the other one is the most picky eater ever... This food has given the diabetic one so much energy and she’s 11 years old. The picky eater had so many skin allergies was on antihistamines almost all the time. They both loved this food from the beginning. Katie’s allergies is now where she doesn’t have to be on any meds. They have always been on high quality dog foods but this is the first freeze dry high protein food. So easy to prepare and the quality and price is great. Will order again.
