Picky pigeons

My birds are very picky and they all tend to pick certain seeds over others so I use this seed and mix it with their larger seeds for the ones who prefer the smaller

Good mix for pigeons

My quail & white doves were ok with it but almost half is kicked away. My racing pigeon seemed to dig right in.

What Is the Deal with This Corn?

Cracked corn is supposed to be dried, then cracked. The ginormous kernels of corn in this mix are smashed flat into jagged, nickel sized blobs while wet and left

Cracked corn is supposed to be dried, then cracked. The ginormous kernels of corn in this mix are smashed flat into jagged, nickel sized blobs while wet and left that way. We have to pick them out and break them up for the birds. I’ll probably buy this product from the pigeon racing supplier next time, although I dislike giving money to people who race animals. There are also more equal quantities of seeds other than millet in the competitor’s orange oil mix.

Solid food

I wish this came in a 10 lb bag but it is a good option for a smaller bag of pigeon or dove seed. Good for doves since all seeds in the mix are smaller. Our pigeon

Birds love this food!

I feed to a rescue Dove & outside pigeons. The both love this food. It is a 'sweet feed" which is always a treat for them!

Huge, flattened corn kernels

I used to purchase this seed as a substitute when I couldn't get my preferred seed, Sunseed Vita Sunscription Dove & Pigeon food. Then Hagen replaced the small

I used to purchase this seed as a substitute when I couldn't get my preferred seed, Sunseed Vita Sunscription Dove & Pigeon food. Then Hagen replaced the small corn kernels with huge horse corn kernels which have been mechanically flattened, making them even larger and impossible for a normal pigeon to ingest (pigeons eat seeds whole and cannot swallow the corn.) So now I use another brand in a pinch because I cannot waste time picking out all of the flattened corn by hand and tossing it out for the squirrels who have no interest either. I wish Chewy would bring in the Sunseed Brand Dove Seed (they already stock some Sunseed Vita items but they won't despite numerous requests to stock it. Too bad.
