What age dog is considered adult

A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months or more. We always recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine when it is appropriate for your individual pet.
The veggies are non-GMO but how about the grains, especially the Alfalfa?

This formula doesn't contain alfalfa, but contains non-GMO plant sources and Vitamin E supplements to support healthy skin and shiny coat.

Sick dog.

Seems like they have changed something since the new packaging started. The food seems more burnt. My cattle dog has been eating this for at least 1-1.5 years, various flavors but he recently got pretty sick after getting a new bag of the chicken one. Seems like other have had this happen as well in the reviews.

Something has changed?

My dogs have been eating this product for years. Their coats changed dramatically after a few months of eating it, so shiny and soft. But something seems to have changed with the new package design. They don't want to eat it anymore. It used to be that they couldn't wait to eat breakfast. Now the kibble sits for hours. I have to top the food at dinner so they will eat it. I shouldn't have to do that for a food this expensive. I'm ordering some new brands to try. Bummer.

product change

I have fed Halo to all my dogs for over 20 years --- but there seems to be a recent formula change which resulted in stomach upset in my 2 dogs and a trip to the vet. :( I was feeding the chicken / rice formula.. not issues until now. Chewy even replaced a bag and same result. The kibble is a different color -- looks ' burnt'. Disappointed and had to switch to another product. For 20 years, halo received a 5 star from me.

indigestion diarrhea vomiting

The 9-year-old ate chicken and chicken liver food before the change, but there was no problem. Now, I eat changed feed and vomit without stopping diarrhea. I don't give other snacks, I just eat food, but I have diarrhea a lot

no longer needs an additional probiotic

Since switching my dog over to this recipe of Halo, my dog no longer needs an extra probiotic supplement and have noticed an decrease in dry itching skin.

Good grains

Our Vet informed us studies indicated grain free diets cause cardiac issues in dogs young and old. Our elderly dog seemed near to being put down. She recommended good grains and steroids. Although everything is day to day with him, he has improved. His stools are healthy again. The other dogs love it.
