Teaching your dog to walk calmly is easier with the Chain Training Collar from Herm Springer. This safe and convenient training tool is designed to let dogs know when it’s time to heel. It's made with durable steel links that help to discourage pulling by applying pressure when he yanks on the leash. That pressure then encourages him to step back and relax his stride. It’s great for taking large dogs or tough pullers on a walk, protecting you and your best bud from getting into a dangerous situation.
Designed to help you train your dog—especially when it comes to pulling or tugging.
Steel collar comes in multiple sizes to suit a variety of dog breeds.
Great for walking strong pullers and large dogs, or training a new pup to heel.
Includes only top tier materials from Herm Sprenger.
Made with pride in Germany, utilizing modern techniques and tight quality control.
To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck for comfort.
Be careful when you order this. The 18" dimension is from the tip of the circle to the tip of the other circle, unlike others that go from the inside of the circle to the circle. This means it's diameter is on 16" with an inch on each side for the circles. a 20" for my dog (other brand) was too big, so I went with the 18" and it's way too small because of the variation of measuring. Also, it's not very heavy for a larger dog.
Great quality, too small

Herm Sprenger manufactures great quality products and this collar is no exception. The measurement in the description is for the total length of the chain, not the neck size of the dog. Make sure to order a chain that is your dog's neck size plus a few inches for proper fit of this training collar.
Good product, misleading size

These are exactly what you expect them to be and are good quality -- *but* they can be tough to size. The total length of the 18" version was just under 18", but that includes the rings -- so it made a 15-1/2" loop. Because heads are bigger than necks, I needed the 22" size to comfortably fit my dog's 15" neck.
Teaches pet not to pull but walk.

My trainer said that is not good to use for the dogs they can actually choke them. Using it for my horse gate to keep it closed.
Great chain collar

The larger links on this chain make it less abrasive on my dog’s neck. It’s a good smooth chain and easy to clip his leash to.
Great training collar!

I love these collars when training, Herm Sprenger is the only brand I trust. They hold up well, quality is consistent. I ordered a few different sizes to accommodate my puppy and his growth. I love all the size options and will continue to buy these as needed.

I originally measured my dog's neck to be using an 18inch chain. After getting the item, it does not fit. Would like to send in and get a longer chain
