This is a collar that happens to have prongs. It does not pinch properly so you get no correction ability. I can only think this would do more harm than good. I got it solely because it has a clip to put it on easily but it is truly a waste of money. I threw away the box so now I'm stuck with it. Save yourself. Buy a standard prong collar.

I was always afraid of choke collars and so I tried many other types of leashes to control her. Daphne is so sweet, but on her walks she would turn into Kujo when she would see another dog, she was uncontrollable and I was injured a few times as a result. With this leash she learned in one day not to pull and I am able to take her for walks.

There is very limited movement, probably significantly less than an inch, when you pull on the rings. For our dog, that is fine, since it serves more as a reminder than a correction, but he's worn a traditional training pinch collar before for training. The collar looks well built and secure with attachment rings on both sides of the buckle closure. And the buckle closure makes it really easy to put on and take off. Before ordering I contacted Chew customer service to ask if it worked like a traditional training collar when the rings were pulled (because I read a review saying it didn't). Customer service incorrectly said it did (not complaining about customer service, just a warning that they may not get this answer correct). We are happy with it since it works for what we need as a reminder but it might not work for training.

I’m a vet tech, dog walker and dog trainer. If you’re going to use a prong collar (one of my favorite tools), please use it properly. This is essentially a flat collar with prongs, which defeats the purpose of using a prong collar. Correctly fitted/formed prong collars distribute pressure evenly around the neck. Because this clasps at the back and lacks that “martingale” effect, it applies pressure to the front of the neck ONLY. I understand most people aim for this one because it’s easier than undoing the prongs of a tradition Herm Sprenger, but there are quick release options that still have that martingale effect that will allow evenly-distributed pressure. Do your research, this one is not it! Great concept, horrible outcome. Your dog will still pull with this product.
