My pit bull with severe skin and protein allergies has been on this food for over 6 months. She's still itchy but her skin has improved, no other food has helped her like this one has and I like that it can be fed long-term. It has a somewhat medicine like smell that fades over time but she doesn't care and is always ready to eat it at meal time.
We are on day two of my dog eating this food mixed with her old food (Fromm). Both nights she has gotten up and had to go to the bathroom. Major gastric issues with loose, watery stool. She is also drinking a ton of water. I am going to call my vet to see if I should continue this or send it back. I saw on several of the reviews that dogs had gastric issues. I don’t need to create a new issue for my dog and certainly don’t need to get up multiple times during the night.
My dogs have been on this food for over a year. A few weeks ago, one dog got very sick w/diarrhea and had to get IV fluids. I changed her food to hills easy digest, and she is much better. A week later, my other dog got sick! Same symptoms same food. I switched her food immediately, and now she's fine. I'm not sure what changed with this food, but I won't be giving it to my dogs anymore!
Yes Chewy company is great but don’t forget to thank Hills for formulating this helpful food and thinking about our dogs who suffer from skin problems. Because really no other dogs food company that I know of anyway, has. Thanks to both Hills and Chewy for taking care of Seth!
I have a 4yr old boxer and this derm complete really works My dog had dermatitis bumps on her belly and it’s disappeared instantly.
This is the only kibble I can feed my Pup Pup. He's almost nine and we've suffered through food allergies his entire life. I can't recommend this enough. No more dermatitis, no more yeasty ears or paws. It's like magic.
I love how convenient chewy is and easy ! My dog has to have this special food I just with they didn’t deliver it to my house at midnight
Within a week of being fully transitioned to this food, my dogs tummy troubles seem to have cleared up. I haven’t noticed her itching either. The food does have a strong smell that I find unpleasant, but it’s a small sacrifice that I will put up with for my dogs health.
I ordered online as I was running out of my Derm Complete. I thought the shipping would take 5 days but it came almost immediately! Just as I ran out of my previous supply, it showed up on my porch. So convenient.
There is chicken flavor and eggs in this. I assumed a food billed for food sensitivities would be helpful for food sensitivities, but this is not. My dogs allergies skyrocketed by just adding a small amount of this food to his food. The search for honest dog food continues.
