My overweight cat needed a change

My vet recommended Hill's Science Diet Metabolic cat food for my 19-lb cat. I have been giving her a third cup of this food twice daily for a couple weeks. I haven't noted any weight loss yet. She seems to have acclimated to it, but that's all I can say at this point.

Kitty did not lose weight

The kibbles are very large but my kitty did like it ok. However, he did not lose any weight on this food even though I followed the feeding guidelines. I tried it for 1 small bag which lasted over a month. Would not recommend and would not purchase again. Moving on to a different brand.

How my 22 lb., 14 year-old Siamese lost 6 lbs!

This Hill’s Metabolic Diet and an automatic feeder I purchased from Chewy’s was the ticket for my cat’s weight-loss. The feeder served measured portions twice a day (it can feed up to 4x per day) and even though he was always hungry, I was no longer the giver of food and he stopped begging me! The feeder was great when I traveled, too. He’s 15 now and more active and much healthier than he was 5 years ago!

great food

We have this food via our vet, our max has lost almost 4 lbs to get to his goal weight so this works!! only issue is it’s expensive!! Hopefully they can get some that’ll be a bit cheaper as we will have to switch due to costs.

good food

my cats are a little over weight and the vet suggested this. I am surprised how much my cats love it and I also give it as a treat sometimes

Was working

So my cats have been on this for a few years. They initially lost some weight and then maintained where they were at. Unfortunately, the last few weeks, my one cat can't eat this anymore. Even if he eats a small amount, it makes him throw up. We only leave out dry food at night (because they like to eat around 2-3am) Will have to change our dry food.
