My dog doesn't require this food, however, it is a great preventative food. My dog is eight and still has clean, white teeth, no problems. Recommend as a dental preventative for clean teeth. I don't have to buy "teeth cleaning treats", which are more expensive.

After many years of trying to firm his stool. Ct scans, fiber powders, my Dr had me try this and within a couple days it worked. Firmed him up making it easier to pick up and easing my pups belly. They have a kibble version that I’ve tried mixing in but I don’t think I could ever replace the cans either this.

I can't imagine how a tiny dog would eat this. My 15 lb dachshund tried (very hard - he's very food motivated) but has had teeth removed and as a result, simply cannot eat this food unless I break it up. I think he ended up swallowing 2 pieces so we'll see how those come out. For reference, he can eat regular sized kibble and Milkbone-like crunchy treats (but not super tough jerky treats) but this kibble is both giant AND very hard. Canceling all following shipments...

We ordered the Science Diet Dog food for bad breath. My Bull Terrier Daisy has the worse bad breath after brushing I have ever experienced! The Science Diet Chicken based dog food reduced her horrible breath, also she seems to prefer the large size of the kibble, it is much larger and she chews more than the small bits, maybe this cleans her teeth.

I’ve been disappointed with my recent purchases of the Hills Science Diet Dental dry food. Halfway through the bag, I noticed a pungent, offensive smell that made me question its freshness. Unfortunately, this is the second 28.5 lb bag in a row that has turned sour before I could finish it. For a product at this price point, I expect consistent quality and freshness. I hope this issue is addressed, as I’ve trusted this brand in the past and want to continue doing so.

Very large kibble, we’re transitioning off this recipe now and using it with another food. My pup still eats it but prefers the smaller kibble of the new food. I think it’s best to use as a topper, not as a meal.

Lucy is an AmStaff whom I feed rehydrated freeze-dried patties and sometimes smaller kibble. She will not chew on dental chews or nubby toys. I give her pieces of Hill's Oral Care for "Treasure Hunts" and as part of some meals. She always crunches the pieces, so I know her teeth benefit.
