This product works great with a little water to create a wet food, as a topper for their regular food (I add some to my pups' food every morning for an extra boost of nutrition), or made into a paste and used on a lick mat. I always add a variety of foods (yogurt, pb, applesauce, wet food, banana, etc) to my pups' lick mats, and the Wholemade section is always the first they go for!

Wow, the ingredients on this dog food are so wholesome. Everyone from our oldest senior, to even the puppy got some of this on top of their regular kibble. Our one dog loves this stuff so much, he eats the food as-is out of the bag (it’s like a powdered food), before we mix it up with some water as a gravy topper. I wanted to take a photo of the food, but as this became our dog’s favorite topper, that I missed the opportunity to grab a good photo. Only one of our dogs hesitated to try the food, but once he tasted it - there was no turning back. The dogs all look forward to this meal. Just take my word for it! We noticed no tummy upsets at all, I’d love to pick up another bag because not only do our dogs love it, but it’s great for them.

This dried food looks like an oatmeal with mixed bits in it, both dry and when mixed with water. It creates a paste that completely sticks together and wouldn’t even budge from the bowl when I needed to toss it out. Zero out of 6 dogs would touch it. I tried mixing it with dried food and giving it on its own. Unfortunately, it was not well received. I plan to donate the rest of the bag to someone who could use it!

I have a senior dog with tummy issues. We mix wholemade into his kibble and he loves it! He hasn't had any issues with his tummy and he is eager to eat every meal!

As a primarily raw feeder, I found this Honest Kitchen product for seniors just the thing for our 13 year old Whippet. As he has aged, and had more teeth removed with his last dental, I found he wasn’t digesting his food as well, plus he can’t chew the kibble I’d been adding to his raw meat. This food filled the niche! I’ve been using half this Honest Kitchen for seniors, soaking in some warm water, mixed with his meat. He loves it and even with the first feeding, his stools were perfect. I’d recommend it if you have a senior dog just not getting quite enough from their current meal.

This Honest Kitchen Human Grade food makes my dog go crazy like catnip does to a cat. My dog lets out an impatient whine when I'm fixing it and she is normally not vocal. She hates waiting for it, but absolutely loves it. I like that there is no awkward smell since it is made with warm water. A 7 lb box makes 40 lb of food.

Flavorful but didn't like texture

I fed this product to my senior animal and a couple younger ones stole some. They all seemed to enjoy the flavor of this product. I found the dehydrated texture

I fed this product to my senior animal and a couple younger ones stole some. They all seemed to enjoy the flavor of this product. I found the dehydrated texture to be difficult to serve and the dogs weren't crazy about it dry as a top dressing although they enjoyed the taste. I don't usually serve them food mixed with water so that was not particularly to their liking either. As I've said before it wasn't the flavor they didn't like much but the texture both dry and mixed with water.
