For Adult cats, feed 1 can per 6 - 8 lbs. of body weight per day.
Kittens require up to 2 and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food you serve based on the age, size and activity level of your cat. Food should be fed at room temperature. Promptly refrigerate the unused portion.
If you are currently free-feeding a kibble, the first step is to feed your cat at meal times. Put the kibble down for a 20-30 minute time frame for a few days to help your cat recognize that this is feeding time. Yes, your cat will be hungry at these mealtimes if they have been used to grazing all day long, but this step will help in the transition.
Once these meal times are established, then try introducing canned food. Your cat will either like it and your transition took no time at all, or you may have to keep trying to entice the cat. If your cat will not eat the canned food you have offered, try putting some kibble on the top to entice the cat. If that doesn’t work, feed kibble and try a different protein at the next mealtime. It may take a while – a few day or a few weeks – for your cat to realize that this is food, but remember that you are doing it to better your cats health.
I know that some cats don't like the taste of this food because there's no flavoring. But my cats are stays and they love this food so much. Very simple ingredients and very healthy. We add water to all of our food for added moisture too.
My senior has always eaten this well. You can tell it has alot of moisture in it but I still add water. She likes turkey anyway but the added liver is a bonus. I submitted a question about the carb % on a dry matter basis not answered yet so Ill need to calculate it myself. If its under 10% thats ok. Lower the better though
My none picky bengal used to love this. His more picky partner in crime even liked it. The most recent batch/shipment is another story. He is not chowing down and has aversions to it unless I mix something in. She won't eat it either. He eats the tiniest portion and leaves most of the can untouched. Until now this was one I would highly recommend to a friend. I don't like to feed my cats chicken or fish. But looks like we will be on the hunt again for something that is in our budget, doesn't have a ton of fillers, and has the right amount of calories.
Unfortunately my cats did not like those flavor The chicken turkey wear a hit
I have 5 cats and none of them will eat it. To be fair, they seem to dislike many of the more nutritious wet cat foods.
Preferred for years but all 3 cats now refuse to eat it. There likely has to have been a recipe change for them all to stop simultaneously. Chewy was amazing as usual and promptly refunded.
Warm this in microwave on safe plate. just few seconds always check the warmth Let set if to hot. cats eat mostly all of it.
I was hoping to find a cat food that would help out kitties settle their stomachs, but this one actually makes them projectile throw up, every single day. So disappointed.
I’ve ordered this before and the cats loved it, but this order is basically liquid (so liquidy I could put it in a syringe). And it’s running right through them! I’m trying to figure out how to bulk it up a bit, but I won’t be ordering it again.
They have changed the formula, it is very soupy. I'm guessing they are adding more water and other cheap ingredients to increase profit margin. My cats walk away from this now.
