This Feeding Chart is based on 2.5% Weight Maintenance and formula rotation. Your cat's activity, age, metabolism and breed may affect overall feeding quantity.

Because of the importance of moisture in a raw diet, Primal recommends rehydrating this product with water or Primal Raw Goat Milk for optimum nutrition absorption. To rehydrate add 1 tablespoon of water or raw goat milk for every nugget, or 1/4 cup for 4 nuggets. For best rehydrating results, break nuggets into small pieces and mix thoroughly to force moisture into product.

Feed adult cats the equivalent of 2-3% of their body weight in rehydrated food per day.
Transition slowly. Begin by mixing 1/4 parts freeze-dried to 3/4 parts current diet. Gradually increase amount of freeze-dried daily.

Cats love this.

I take a brick and break it up into smaller pieces. My cats eat it dry and love it. Sometimes I sprinkle some over canned food and sometimes I just put pieces in a bowl. I like the variety of flavors. The only thing is I wish they were smaller pieces so I didn't have to break it up.

I love Primal but beef doesn’t work for all my cats

I love Primal and truly feel it’s the best food on the market. However, I have 6 cats. 4 of my cats love the beef and 2 throw it up the minute it goes down. I also had the same thing happen with a raw beef topper from Only Natural Pet, I picked up at PetSmart and the rabbit from Stella & Chewy’s. I think this is a wonderful food but I don’t think all cats can tolerate beef raw. If the beef doesn’t work, don’t give up on the the brand or raw food in general. Give another protein a try. My cats favorites are the Primal Turkey and the Chicken and Salmon. They also like Duck Duck Goose from Stella & Chewy’s. They have never thrown up on these proteins.

Great Food, but not all cats agree

I bought this to give my cat some variety. I had been using the Chicken & Salmon formula and he absolutely loves that! Got this and he won't touch it. I have 2 other cats that are not as picky, so I added it to their food and they think it is wonderful! I'll go back to the Chicken and Salmon for the picky eater and let the other girls have the Beef and Salmon and everyone will be happy.

3 stars because the food itself is great quality but also 3 stars because chewy sells it way overpriced. I found it for $13 at my local pet shop. I’m sure you could too

Really Hopeful

Bought this highly recommended food for my cat who started over grooming. I was really hoping that this food would help her stop being so itchy and it did! Her coat looked better and she had less dandruff. Unfortunately, after she begrudgingly ate it for 3 days, she could not stop throwing it up and then refused to touch it. I really like the quality of the food and felt that it helped her a lot but she feels otherwise. Maybe some other cats will like it.

My kitty is on a raw diet, so as his treats I rotate different Primal freeze-dried flavors. He loves this one, and since it's not too crumbly he gets some exercise chasing pieces around the apartment.

I am giving 3 stars because it sounds nutritious, but the texture is like styrofoam. Althought all three of my cats eat it mixed in their food as a topper, one of them throws up immediately afterwards. After the third time, I am no longer giving it to him.
