it says on the package to keep in the fridge for freshness 3-5 days. my can't won't be able to eat the whole bag in that many days because I wanna rotate her food flavors ? can I keep it locked in a glass jar, or a plastic container ? and then how long can it stay in the fridge ?

Once it is re-hydrated it can only be stored in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. If it is not re-hydrated, you can store it in a cool, dry place. When using on a rotational diet, it is recommended to make in small batches so that you may use it as needed.

It says the main ingredients are pork hearts, bones and livers. Is there any other muscle meat in this product, like pork muscle?

The heart is actually muscle meat. It is made up of a type of striated muscle tissue called cardiac muscle. By design, Primal products contain no more than 10% organ meat. They use the heart as a primary source of muscle meat in many of their formulas because heart contains a higher nutrient value than other muscle meats and is the most environmentally responsible option.

How long would this 14 oz bag last a 15 pound cat?

There's approximately 3.5 nuggets for every 1 ounce. The 5.5 ounce contains approximately 19 nuggets and 14 ounce contains approximately 49 nuggets.

The Pork is nitrate free. All Primal Pet Foods products are produced using the highest quality ingredients, including 100% antibiotic- and steroid-free USDA edible-grade meats, poultry, and game in addition to certified organic produce and unrefined vitamins and minerals.

This company is not the same.

Bought this food for years. It changed. Arrived looking different and my cat who used to love all the flavors stopped eating all of them.

She likes it but additives cause allergies

My cat got a food allergies and sensitivities test so we can eliminate allergy foods. Your product contains the following she can't have: Organic Carrots, Organic Apples, Organic Pumpkin Seeds, Organic Sunflower Seeds, Organic Blueberries, Organic Cranberries, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Coconut Oil, Salt, Organic Sunflower Oil, Vitamin E Supplement, Liquid Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product, Liquid Lactobacillus casei fermentation product, Liquid Lactobacillus reuteri fermentation product, Organic Ground Alfalfa That's just too many added ingredients for our needs. The freeze-dried food is easy to prepare (I do chunk it up with a pair of pliers--not as dramatic as it sounds). It comes in what looks like mini loaves, and I can have some in a bowl for my cats to nom on all day, or fix a bowl with a little water to soften it. My younger cat, Houdini, loves it. It's also easy to clean up and doesn't have a terrible smell.

Defective nuggets

Ordered five bags, all defective. Four are the same batch number and I opened only one; the nuggets are off color, have a horrible odor, and are hard as a rock

Ordered five bags, all defective. Four are the same batch number and I opened only one; the nuggets are off color, have a horrible odor, and are hard as a rock. The bag was missing the blue oxygen eliminator pouch. The fifth bag is a different batch number, and nuggets are off color, have a horrible odor, and are hard as a rock. It too was missing the blue oxygen eliminator pouch. Primal clearly has a problem and Chewy made it easy to return.
