Start by mixing 25% new food with 75% of the current formula. Slowly change the proportions over the next 3 days or so by gradually increasing the new food and lessening the amount of the current food. At the end of the weaning process, you should be feeding 100% of the new food.

My 4 cats enjoy a "smorgasbord" of dry foods including 2 for taste, 1 for dental care, 1 for urinary care and 1 for hairball care. I have tried other brands, but they always seem to leave them in the bowl and eat everything else, however, Iams hairball, they also eat. Two of my cats are long-hair, so need as much help as possible in fighting hairballs!

My cat's doctor prefers this product over the indoor cat one. I agree that this product works a lot better than the indoor cat one does to help hairball problems and there is less hairball messes to pick up after when using this product over the indoor cat product.

I’ve always used Iams food for my cats and dogs. I recently switched to ProActive Health from Iams weight control and my cats like it. No issues with the gradual change. I’m a happy Iams customer and an even happier Chewy customer!

I have fed my cats Iams for over 35 years, and have been happy with their products. This last bag I bought seems to be different, and leads me to wonder if Iams has changed their formula. The cats are not enjoying it as usual.

My 14 yr old indoor cat, Angel, has a finicky stomach when it comes to food and she lets me know it by throwing up frequently if it doesn’t agree with her. After years of other brands, with no success, I decided to try Iams. She eats it well, and with the exception of an occasional hairball, I don’t have to clean up puke all of the time, so it’s a win-win for us both!!

My cat loves this food so that if I don’t get a chance to put it in the closet right away, he will chew through the bag and rip it to get to the food. By the way, my cats name is Chewy!

My baby want eat the food this is not all chicken it have salmon in it .....(didn’t know) complete waste of money ....I have always gave her iams chicken hairball and since 8 weeks the kitten formula.... now I must get rid of 16lbs of cat food and get her a new bag of food

My young adult cat developed severe diarrhea. He was negative for everything my Vet tested. She gave him a prescription anti-diarrhea liquid, I gave him pumpkin, changed to the non-grain food she recommended. Nothing changed. I sent my husband to buy another bag of what the Vet recommended but he couldn't find it so he bought a bag of this. I figured "Why not try it?". 12 hrs after the 1st meal the poop was noticably better. 36 hrs almost normal. 48 hrs normal. I was in tears with happiness. And because my cat loves the taste he put the weight back on pretty quickly. He's a long-haired cat & now his fur is back to being luxurious, he's acting like a young cat, no more diarrhea. I trust and like Iams products, so when I saw they had a cat food with Hairball treatment included, I bought it and it works. I have a long haired cat and hairballs were a nightmare. This product works!
