  • no hairballs here, and hair is growing back! What?

    By on

I switched back to Iams a couple of months and just last night I noticed that my oldest cats hair on her back is finally growing back in. For several years, she had been licking the fur off her back, stomach, and some of her legs (basically anywhere she could reach). I attributed it to anxiety with our dog. Apparently there was something in the other food that did not agree with her skin and hair. I think we will be sticking to this one from here out!

  • Not a favorite in this household

    By on

I have eight cats and this is not preferred product by any of them. This dry food was recommended by several friends and obviously has high reviews on Chewy.com. However, even the outside cats don't like this. They'll eat it if I don't put anything else out, but they try to hold out for something tastier. Of course, I bought a huge bag so I may give it to a neighbor. Maybe his cat will like it. Oh, I just realized that you have to uncheck the "Do you recommend this item" box at the start of the review. I was wondering how some products were shown as "100% recommended" yet had some two star reviews.

Since it's that time of year, shedding that is, we find ourselves looking for an answer that our cats and us would like. This was it. They now have separate dry food bowls so they have a choice.

  • My cat loves Iams hairball formula!

    By on

My cat has been eating this formula of Iams for 4 years now. Before that, he was eating Iams kitten formula. Recently, I suspected he has an allergy to corn, so I switched him to another brand. He liked it and the itching and scratching stopped... but it constipated him terribly! So I had to switch him back to his old favorite...Iams! I wish Iams would create a corn- free formula --but with the same fiber and pre biotics they add to their regular formulas!!!
