Decent Scratch
The scratch is okay quality but it doesn’t seem to have alot of what the birds like the most, I have noticed that my birds are leaving alot of scratch on the ground and its always the same type of seed that they wont eat. I am not sure what it is they are not liking but I will have to try another brand next time..
chickens eat anything , But they really enjoy this
I like this scratch and so do the hens. I have never noticed any bugs in it, and it would not upset me any to see a few critters amongst the grain. Why should a little moving protein snack be a negative in chicken feed. Heck they could toss in baby mice for all a chicken would care. This is a good product , its balanced and clean.
Meh, chickens not impressed.
My chickens are not picky, they're little garbage disposals. But they are not impressed with this scratch. They get all excited for me to throw and them when I do, they just stand there like 'what else you got for us???' They left it all over the yard hardly touched. So sad, but I love most Kalmbach products !
Not as tasty as I hoped
I purchased this scratch rather than my usual brand, trying to do better for my flock. My birds don’t care much for it. They half heartedly scratched around a bit then left it. It’s just not as interesting to them as other brands.
Chickens won't eat this
Its not scratch! Its like dust! Too finely ground! What a waste of money. I'd return it, but its a 50 lb bag I now don't know what to do with.
