price increase due to war in Ukraine

I ordered lots of black oils a week after Russia invaded Ukraine knowing prices would go up. Ukraine produces 25% of world supply of sunflower seed, Russia 22%. Now that I need to reorder I expected a price increase. It is NOT Chewys fault & considering it's delivered to my door I find it to be fair.

Dont believe that Sparrows dont like it!

I read that Sparrows hate black oil seeds. That prompted me to try these as the gang of sparrows hog the feeder and eat all of it. And they eat these just as greedily! Couldve got other birdseed at half the cost.

Great product!

Great value for this brand, the birds seemed to really gather around and eat this up! I have bought other brands or store brands but this is their favorite! Highly recommend

Jays like to work the shells

Lots of quality sunflower, not that messy. Keeps well. In Florida I only put out enough for one day, otherwise it gets wet and rots, not to mention the rats attracted overnight.

Why has the price almost tripled for this product?

I have been purchasing this product for years. I'm very disappointed with Chewy almost tripling the cost of this product. How did it go from $7.99 a bag to this outrageous cost? I feed this to my birds and squirrels and they love it, but at this price, I'm going to have to find another more reasonable vendor to purchase it from. This increase is unacceptable and I'm hoping it's not the new trend for Chewy since Chewy has always delivered on great products and customer service, but this is very concerning.

Top 1000 Contibutor

I already had to buy more :)

We have so many birds at the feeder! They love this food, maybe a little too much! I already bought another bag after just 2 weeks.

Shocking price increase!

I have been purchasing birdseed on auto ship for a long time. Always pleased with the product and ease of process with Chewy. Until I noticed my monthly auto ship deduction for my bank account was THREE times the normal amount. I understand prices can and do fluctuate, but increasing the product three times the amount and deducting the money without notification is completely unethical. I called and was offered a one-time adjustment to the old pricing. I do appreciate that, but do not trust to be on auto ship for future orders, and will not order the seeds at this price.

Lost a customer

I have been a faithful customer, until I went to order these sunflower seeds for the songbirds that I love to feed. I was astounded when I saw that the price literally almost doubled. I would like a senior exec from chewy to explain to me why they did this that has nothing to do with profit.

Good Seed, not too many sticks

Seed was good, but bag was broken open and seeds were all over inside the box.
