Some chinchilla dust is just too fine. This one is just right - doesn’t stick to him too much. He can shake it off, but it still gets him clean. He seems to be more attracted to it than other brands. He’s an older guy (14 yo) so it’s important that it helps him stay clean. Picture is from after a bath.

Not like it used to be

This dust was great for my chinchilla for years, but it has changed. It now has a very fine consistency like flour, but somehow can't get into a chinchilla's coat

This dust was great for my chinchilla for years, but it has changed. It now has a very fine consistency like flour, but somehow can't get into a chinchilla's coat. My chinchilla started getting matted and he didn't want to take baths anymore. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm wondering if this dust is what caused his respiratory infection a few years ago. Buy the oxbow dust instead

Choose different dust

I have had my chinchillas for 12 years and this is the first negative experience I have had with bathing dust. It sits on their fur instead of going into it and

I have had my chinchillas for 12 years and this is the first negative experience I have had with bathing dust. It sits on their fur instead of going into it and my one girl has been getting conjunctivitis since we started using it. Going back to oxbow.
