it's not a very bad dust but it smells weird and I'm not sure if it's safe for my chin. not sure what gives that smell. I have never used any other dust that had that smell. will never buy again, oxbow poof is way better. and my chin likes it way more than this dust.

This sand is not only moist and not fine but it smells like chemicals. My chin would refuse to take baths until I replaced with a higher quality sand.
Spend your money elsewhere. Spend a little more, your chin will love it.

This stuff is terrible. It smells bad, gets dirty quickly, and then smells even worse! My chinchilla refused to go into it and I smelled it and realized why! The texture is clumpy and too soft.

My chinchilla, Lyle, loves his dust bath. He flips and flips in this high quality power that Chewy sells and delivers. Thank you!
good for chinchillas but never for hamsters

This dust is too fine for hamsters. It will cause respiratory infections. Good for chins tho
Dust and dust bath are 2 different products

So as everyone is writing, this product has changed. So has the name. The "Dust" is thick and clumpy unlike the old product which was labeled "dust bath". The dust bath was very fine and this one is thicker. I don't know if I have a preference. My chinchilla doesn't seem to care. He likes to hang out in there no matter what and ends up peeing and then it turns to a cement block which is awful to clean.

Doesn't have unpleasant odor like other brands. Easy to clean up.
