Feed Exact Rainbow every day in a clean food cup. Adjust to the bird's actual needs and spillage. Provide a clean, fresh supply of water daily
Exact Rainbow is designed to be the bird's sole diet. Limit additional foods, such as fresh fruits, vegetables or other treats, to 20% of the bird's total diet. When used as directed, no additional vitamin or mineral supplements are recommended.
When changing to a new food or diet, birds require time to adjust. It is recommended to slowly mix the old with the new until the birds are accustomed to the new diet. For best results, limit the portion of food available to the suggested feeding amount.
After 21 days, feed Exact food only - your bird should be completely converted. Observe your bird closely to ensure it is eating Exact food and not searching for its old food. A color change in the droppings (to a brown or reddish-brown color) should be evident with successful conversion. Conversion time may vary.

Grandson just got a parakeet and I have always used Kaytee bird food. So of course, this is the brand I choose for his parakeet.

A little too healthy

My parakeets would not touch them even when there was no other food in their cage. Maybe my birds are just too picky.

Too big for budgies

Budgies wouldn’t touch the flower shapes because they were too large. Too bad they were 75% of the bag. I tried to break them up into smaller bites and even I didn’t have any luck with them.

I learned about this product from the Vet's office. It is a complete food for lovebirds. I had noticed all the odd things in various foods designed for lovebirds, most of which my lovebird wouldn't eat. I followed the directions on gradually increasing the amount of this food and my bird really likes this formula!

Ting ting gets a variety of foods including fresh chop everyday but we really like this product and Ting Ting really enjoys it and it covers a lot of his vital nutrition.

Slow Process

The food is fresh and appealing. My peach-faced lovebird is taking longer to convert to an all pellet diet. We are on week 2 of 1/4 pellet and 3/4 seeds. The food smells great, and he is nibbling a little bit on it. Tomorrow he will be on the 1/2 pellet and 1/2 seed for a few weeks. He is a slow conversion. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Chico loves everything about this food. However, Coco loves everything but the red clover shaped ones. Those my little prissy actually flings them out of the cage. I'll continue to buy them this food and just keep picking the red ones off the floor.
