Bought this perch due to it saying it could hold up to 40lbs. I have a larger cat weighing in between 25-28lbs who LOVES looking out the window and hoped it would be a good fit. Overall, perch is very nice and comfortably holds him and his smaller brother. However, the only thing holding me back from giving the perch 5 stars is the thinness of the padding. As you can see from the photo I added, his weight is pushing through the plastic and when he stands, it becomes even more pronounced. It doesn't seem to bother him or cause any instability but I think the padding could've been better made/thicker as I question the comfortability of it. Will still happily keep it but may replace the padding insert with something a bit thicker. Also, this doesn't affect the rating for me personally, but the photo shows the perch as quite a bit fuzzier than it actually is. I personally like how it showed up instead for cleaning purposes but the image is not accurate and I wanted to note that.

This is the second one I have purchased because my cat loves it so much she wore the other one out. This sits in a second story window and it’s her favorite spot to survey her kingdom below.

This is the 3rd exact one that I've bought throughout the years and for different cats. I like it because I'm able to screw it through the window sill. No chance of collapsing. All my cats loved it. I place either pet stairs or a cat condo next to it for easy access. That helped a lot for my senior cat. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars because customer service is outstanding. I've had cats that weighed 10 pounds to 18 pounds and one with severe arthritis. This was perfect for everyone of them.
