- Suitable for use in the home, garage, porch, kennel or pet house.
- Place the Lectro-Soft directly on a hard, flat surface in your home or inside a doghouse or kennel. The area chosen should be sheltered from direct rain or snow.
- Pull out the air valve on the bottom side of the bed. Plug into 110 - 120 volt AC outlet while the air valve is still released. Allow 15 to 30 minutes for the Lectro-Soft™ to begin to warm and fully expand. The unit will feel slightly warm to the touch.
- After desired expansion, push down on the center of the bed to remove a little air. Then push in the air plug to seal the bed. This will prevent a ballooning effect when your pet is enjoying the bed.
- After initial warm-up, your Lectro-Soft will feel cooler to the touch. This is the intention for energy efficiency. When your pet lies on the bed, it will warm to a comfortable temperature in even the coldest of weather.
- The Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed does not inflate, as many people believe. After opening the air valve, you will not notice a big difference in size, but the bed will expand slightly. All the air is removed from a Lectro-Soft bed when vacuum packaging it for shipment. Opening the air valve allows air back into the bed, which helps the inner foam gradually expand to its original size. This process can take up to 24 hours, depending on how long the bed has been vacuum packed.
- Wash the faux fleece cover on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry. The bed can be cleaned using a damp towel or sponge and mild dish washing detergent. Do not wash in a washing machine.

Can I bend or fold the Lectro-Soft to make it fit my pet's house?
The Lectro-Soft should not be bent or folded. We only recommend placing it on a flat, stable surface.
Does the Lectro-Soft use a lot of energy when plugged in? I'm worried about high electricity costs.
Depending on size, the Lectro-Soft only uses only 20, 40, or 60 watts. It's an energy efficient product that consumes very little electricity.
What material is the Lectro-Soft Cover made of?
The top is a soft faux fleece while the bottom is made of an open weave fabric that allows the heat to pass through.

Keeps Fatty Warm in the Garage
By nicky on Feb 12, 2021
Fatty is our feral cat, moved in from a neighbor's yard. He can be touched and he's gentle, but that and being fed are as personal as Fatty likes to get. Nights can be cold, even freezing, a few months a year. Fatty sleeps safely in the garage, but oh that chill. We bought this bed and have rarely unplugged it since we got it in November. Fatty loves it and sleeps cozily on it though he rejected it for a few days at first. When this bed goes some day, I'll surely get another if I have any outdoor animals who refuse to come in out of the cold.

It’s a hit!!
By LynL on Feb 4, 2021
We all absolutely love this bed!! Our older kitty is getting cold a little more easily, and despite keeping our house at a comfortable temperature the deep chill this winter has crept into our house - especially at floor level. She’s been seeking warm spots even more than usual and we wanted to get her a heated bed. This one is perfect because it does not constantly emit heat. It is designed to reflect her heat back to her. It’s low voltage and designed for outdoor use but works beautifully inside on the floor. Because it isn’t constantly hot, and designed for 24/7 use, we feel comfortable leaving it plugged in overnight. She takes all her naps here now!

Heated Pad Replacement
By Teri on Feb 6, 2021
I have the K&H heated kitty houses, on my front porch, for my feral kitties to have safe haven from the brutal sub zero temps here in Michigan. These houses have been a godsend!!! I have K&H heated water dish & a heated feeding dish also. My ferals won't come up to me but they trust me to assist their success at survival, I can tell they are grateful. Opossum got into one of the heated cat houses and tore up the heating pad. I found this K&H heated pad to replace it and it fit perfectly. I have insulated heavy use totes stuffed with straw under my porch for the opossum. They share food and water with the cats but I try to designate the heated houses for the cats. Happy Lucy
By Mollypop on Jan 27, 2021
Been using these heating pads for years, our previous “feral” cat has adjusted to indoor living extremely well, she has her routine eats then goes out on the porch which is not heated, but enclosed, jumps on her pad and spends most of the day there, well a few weeks ago she wanted no part of going out there, I couldn’t figure out the change in her routine, then I remembered she did that the last time her heating pad had stopped working, so sure enough I checked it and it wasn’t warming to her expectations, so ordered a new one, took her a day or two to check out the new one, but she’s back into her normal routine and when Lucy is happy, everyone is happy.

Made me very happy whenever she came out from her house during this freezing days her fur feels very warm and I know she’s not freezing. I’m so glad chewy have this. I have few heating pad and this one by far the best.

It works very well
By Bren on Feb 3, 2021
My favorite features are: No thermostat to attend and I can leave it plugged in. The weight of my cats causes the pad to get warm enough. When they leave and there is no more weight to trigger the mild heat, it cools until they get back on it. Because two cats sleep together, it would be nice if I could get a bigger size but I'm not complaining! Also, the pad has to be placed on a firm surface. When I put a rolled blanket around it, the weight of the blanket caused the pad to be "on" so I left took the blanket away..

Keeping our feral cats warm!
By Puppydogs2 on Jan 26, 2021
We live in Wisconsin where the weather can really take it's toll on feral cats. We have several of these well made outdoor heated pads. Some of the ones we own are big for multiple cats and some are small that only warm 1 cat. During the very cold days, the cats remain in their houses on these warming pads except to eat and potty. These are well made and I have one that is still working after 7 years. I buy more each year because although all our cats have been neutered or spayed, we have drifters that find their way here and usually stay through the winter in their own "cat condo".

Great for Indoor Cats Too
By Mochi on Feb 8, 2021
Bought this for our ~5 yo kitty and she loves it. Feels very sturdy and comes with a removable cover. We opted to slide it (without the cover) into the top fold of her favorite fleece blanket and she took to it right away. It feels perfectly warm and comfortable - not super hot - and she can sleep on it without me worrying she'll overheat. Very good item for the price - small size was plenty of room for 10 lb cat.

Cats live on this bed! I’ve bought several!
By 5MidwestCats on Dec 18, 2020
At first I bought for my outdoor feral cat but when I was trying it out inside my kitties jumped on it immediately! I had to buy another one for the outdoor kitty. I love that it saves energy when the cats aren’t on it but quickly heats up once they lay atop it. I still have my first one for 5 years now and it is still used daily. My cats jockeyed for position on the line pad I had so I purchased a couple more and put them in their favorite napping spots throughout the house. A huge hit! The outdoor heater works every winter and I can sleep safe knowing my outdoor kitty is protected from the cold. It is more than worth the investment. Plus it’s super safe with the wired cord and only heats At first I bought for my outdoor feral cat but when I was trying it out inside my kitties jumped on it immediately! Cats are in Heaven!
By MWSanchez on Jan 11, 2021
Holy cow these things are a hit with my cats! It didn't take them but about a day to figure out that they were the warm spot to lay on. My cats are seniors, (15 years old), and they both love to lounge on these all day long. I have them situated on our couch in between myself and my wife, and I have two pads side by side, so they effectively have the entire center section of the couch. They love them and I can't speak highly enough about the pleasure my cats are getting from these pads. Kudos!
