Will this stop my dog from licking his stomach?
Answer by ChewyNov 30, 2017
Depending on the length of your dog, and how far away their stomach is to their mouth, this collar would prevent them from reaching their wounds.

can they scratch their eyes?
Answer by ChewyJun 09, 2018
With the KONG Cloud Collar on, your pet should not be able to scratch their eyes or face.

My German Shepard cut is back foot and had to get stitches...do you think this would work so he cant chew badges off?
Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2019
This inflatable collar is designed to restrict a dogs ability to reach their body with their mouth. With the correct size, your dog may be unable to chew or lick their legs. It's important to monitor all pets, as some may be able to maneuver around the protective collar to reach the areas they shouldn't.

My cat doesn't wear a collar. Will this collar stay on without an everyday collar?
Answer by ChewyFeb 17, 2018
This Cloud Collar does have loops to attach to a normal collar, without that it may not stay in place as well.

The GOAT

I purchased this for my Cavapoo in a smaller size when she was spayed. I was thrilled. She actually loved wearing it, was able to eat, drink, enter her crate and do all the things Cavapoo puppies do without interference. However, she couldn't reach her incision and pretty much ignored it when she couldn't get to it. I bought this one in a BIG size for an 88 lb baby that my friend was rescuing, healing and hopefully placing in a loving home. He's a big ol' baby and a big ol' clutz, but he's a teddy bear! He had been injured with a gaping, deep, infected and maggot infested wound on his neck. He was covered in fleas and in a lot of pain. My friend was treating him but with minimal funds, she needed a few things for him exclusively. I bought this for him knowing it was exactly what she needed. Along with flea treatment and a HUGE femur bone, this fella' is on the road to recovery, thinks he's special because he's got a collar and the rest of the menagerie don't have one! Recent updates say he's on the mend, feeling terrific and just a big ol' happy boy!

English Cocker Spaniel

This collar was not wide enough to prevent my 32 pound male cocker spaniel from licking his neutering surgical site and getting a hematoma. Perhaps this collar would work on a smaller spaniel, but not a typical male. The size chart indicates that it should work, but that was not correct for us. We ended up having to use the horrible cone -of-shame from the vet, instead.

Waste of money

I bought this collar for my male dog, Dallas. He likes it much better than the cone. But, I won't stay inflated. I have to inflate it again every few hours. I wrote to "Kong" and they said I have to send them the receipt, not a credit card statement. I don't have a receipt as I ordered it online, from Chewy. I just wanted advice about how yo stop what is a slow leak. I am very unhappy.

Comfortable

Our Goldendoodle totally freaked out in the plastic e-collar so we tried this and it worked great on her. Even though she could reach and lick her incision area she had to work on it to get there giving us time to see what she was doing. This collar probably works great on small to mid sized dogs because it is big enough to stop smaller/medium dogs from reaching an incision. Out Goldendoodle is long & tall so easier for her to curl around to lick. She slept good, did not mind wearing it for the 14 days requested by the vet for her type of surgery and I would recommend this collar!

Not working

There appears to be leaking air in this item. Just as we get it blown up and put it on our dog, it seems to be Los g air. My cavaliers still can bite at their paw it’s not wide enough around. The concept is good but it needs better execution

Kong Cloud Collar a wonder

I ordered the Kong inflatable collar on a Monday night before my dog's surgery on Tuesday and it was delivered the next day before noon. It was a perfect fit, easy to inflate and my dog seemed to really like having it on. Thanks Chewy for a wonderful product and great service.

Great low stress ‘cone’

Our dog has severe anxiety and also allergy problems(both being treated by a vet), this sometimes leads to obsessive chewing behavior on her rear and tail and the ‘donut of shame’ has been a much lower stress alternative to the ‘cone of shame’. We love this product and would love other colors

Worked great

French bulldog; size Medium. She had a spay and nostril surgery. This worked great and she's really very comfortable. She can move, eat, drink, all she needs to. I did try it on prior to the surgery - and see how it worked, how she could move, etc. and she hated it at first, but then didn't care. I highly recommend trying before the surgery as at first, it was too inflated and she couldn't breathe! Saw the other reviews on "hard to blow-up" - and if you've ever inflated anything, it's the exact same.

Inflatable collar

Absolutely does not work. Yes, it was on correctly. Yes, it was fully inflated. My dog had no problem licking the stitches from his neuter. I had to buy a recovery suit, an additional $30. If I could give this product 0 stars, I would. Wasted Money!

Served the purpose

Our small dog was spayed and this was a great tool we used to make sure she couldn't get at her stitches. She was comfortable in it and it dud the trick. Acted like a little pillow for her in recovery. When done, I washed the cover in the machine. Ready for use if ever needed.
