  • This worked very well and humanely on my cat

    By on

I had to put some cream on my cat's bottom where she had licked a big open sore. I needed what they called an e-collar to keep her from licking the cream off. I knew those plastic collars would never work on a cat and so I tried this. Brandy was not real happy with the situation at first, but she was able to eat and drink with it on and she got used to it and used it as a pillow to sleep on. It worked out really well. I would recommend the small or petite one for a cat. I used the small one for my 10 pound cat. She did end up slipping out of it after about a week of wearing it, so you might get 2 if you have an indoor/outdoor cat like mine is.

  • Awesome Find!

Wilson wore the cloud throughout the day periods while his incision from being neutered was healing and it was well worth what we paid for it. He was able to eat his food, drink his water, and pick up his squeaky toys without us having to take it off. The closest that he could get to his incision was licking his back foot. Very helpful since he had a rash right below the incision and was adamant to try to go for it until that cleared up. Wilson seemed to be much more confident with this on since he could see more of what was around him than he could with a more traditional e-collar. Definitely recommend if it's for your pup being neutered or spayed, but don't think it would be as effective if Wilson wore the cloud throughout the day periods while his incision from being neutered was healing and it was well worth what we paid for it. • Advice for giant breeds

    By on

My 180lb 4yr old English Mastiff destroyed his cone in minutes after turning into Cujo as a reaction to the collar. Because he has a long body I knew he would still be able to reach his neuter & scrotal ablation incision with the Kong collar. So I bought 2 of them & he wears both at same time however they are only half way inflated and he cannot reach his incision. So although you will need 2 collars for big or long dogs with rear end issues I still have to give this product 5 stars bc my hyper, sensitive giant dog is totally satisfied wearing the 2 kong collars. He sleeps, eats & drinks with them. If I give him a break from collars I put xxl washable diaper on him to cover incision, but not My 180lb 4yr old English Mastiff destroyed his cone in minutes after turning into Cujo as a reaction to the collar. • Kong Cloud Collar for Dogs

    By on

I am very happy with this collar. I used it for my Leonberger after her spay procedure. I measured her collar, and ordered early, then left the Kong collar lie around the house for the dogs to get used to. It worked perfectly, is easy to put together and place on. Ingenious idea to incorporate the dog's own collar. My dog was never nervous or frightened, and rested/slept and ate well with it on. My other dog was not intimidated by it either. Her incision looks great due to no licking. My Leo is 100 pounds and 25 inches tall and the large was perfect. It's easy to keep clean, stays inflated, is soft and quiet. I'm now using it myself as a neck pillow since she doesn't need it anymore! It's that I am very happy with this collar. I used it for my Leonberger after her spay procedure. Never again will I use the plastic E collar of shame! … more

  • Broke within 12 hours

    By on

This was great until we all went to bed for the night. Annie went 4 hours without being checked on, and she completely broke this. Her collar was still on, and the strips that hold her collar were broken. She hates a cone, and this was a lot more comfortable for her, but she has to go back to her cone now. If your dog isn't crazy, and you don't think that they will try to paw at this until it breaks, then it is way better than a cone. Once she settled down, she was just using it as a pillow and she looked very happy. If they are wild, this may not be the product for them. :(

  • Cat with skin issue

    By on

I bought this in a size small for my 10 lb cat who was biting her back by her tail. The collar worked great, she wasn't able to bite her back and it gave her skin a chance to heal! She was quite miserable and had a hard time sleeping in it...and she let me know how unhappy she was almost every hour of every night she had it on. But, mission accomplished!

  • COMFORTABLE PROTECTIVE COLLAR

    By on

I ordered this inflatable collar for my 16 lb. bichon frise to keep him from licking and pulling his hair out on his thigh area due to a skin irritation. My dog's neck measured between 12"- 12 1/2". I ordered the size Medium. I was worried about my dog's trachea that has shown signs of a possible collapse., and wondered if this collar would apply pressure on the throat. He uses a harness with a leash, but did have a collar that held his dog tags. I loosened his regular collar a little bit as it seemed shorter once it was threaded through the 3 loops on the Kong collar. The fully inflated collar was too snug around his neck. I then deflated the collar so that it was much softer. I then deflated the collar so that it was much softer. After I had let some of the air out, It looked too deflated, but once I placed the collar back onto his neck, it fit nicely with just a small gap between the ends. I pulled the blue cover over the plastic air valve to keep it from sticking out. I also made the velcro closing strip looser, too, as a last step. I had to experiment until I found the correct fit, one that wasn't tight against the throat, but also wasn't so loose that my dog could put a paw into the space between his neck and the collar. Since the collar was not as firm with air released from it, my dog was able to reach his mouth close enough to his thigh area to lick it, however, it was not easy for him to continuously push against the collar to reach the sore area, so that his licking attempts were reduced by about 90%. He seems to be comfortable enough wearing this collar as he has not attempted to remove it, or chew it. He also has eaten and napped while wearing the collar without a problem. If a dog has a neck of 13", or more, I would recommend that the next size up, a Large, would be a better fit. I am very glad that I chose this collar for my dog. Since this is the first day that my pet has worn the collar, I have not had a problem with it losing air. Also, once I pinched the air input tube, it was easy to inflate the collar. … more

  • Excellent product

I have a 55 lb male lab retriever that is 11 months old and was neutered. I did get the typical cone from the vet but opted to use the cloud collar which is AWESOME! My dog does not mind it at all and your regular collar slips through the loops on the inside of the tube. I have been using it for a week at night when he is not supervised and have had no issues. Highly recommend.

  • A must have!

    By on

Bought the XLarge for my 104 lbs., 10 month French mastiff pup, after neutering. Soooo much better than the hard plastic cone and fits great. He can sleep, drink, and walk around without any issues with this on. The Velcro scares him slightly when taking it off, but doesn't seem to mind when putting it on or wearing it. He is able to sleep comfortably... the snoring proves it! He does appear to have the ability to reach the incision area but not easily, and it definitely deters him. I use this in conjunction with a one-piece surgical suit at night. No problems.

  • SOOO much better than the plastic Cone of Shame!

    By on

Having lived with my first dog through 43 days and nights of plastic cone, I made sure Piper (his younger sister) had a soft collar when she had a growth removed near her eye. She was able to find positions to nap and sleep in, and was not at all miserable, though she was happy when she was finally done. Yes, it moves a bit and we had to move it back. Big deal. THANK YOU CHEWY!
