Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
These two toys are not for dogs that like to chew. I was sent a second set of them after I let customer service that my two dogs, one a 75 lb black lab and one a 30 lbs lab/husky, tore them apart for the second time within 30 minutes to an hour. So the description that it’s for big chewers and that since it’s made from knotted rope inside is inaccurate. This product is not well made. It’s still filled with stuffed as well and a squeaker that my dogs almost choked on. Thankfully I monitor them when they have any type of chew toy or bones. I don’t want a third order of them so my dogs can choke on the stuffing and squeak balls inside of them right away. It’s not a safe toy. I’d like a refund and the descriptions should be edited to not mislead pet parents.
I love this toy (so does my pup). The only part that has stuffing in it is the nose, so when my pup eventually tore into other parts there was no fluff to clean up or to worry about him ingesting. It is pretty tough too because it is not stuffed to hold a rigid shape. We will be buying more.
My 16# Shih Tzu mix loves this fox toy! He has the medium and large size and he loves them both. They are very sturdy and well made. I wash them in our HE washer with his dog beds and they come out great! I highly recommend this Kong toy!
I expected it to be a bit more sturdier for a kong. My dog an Aussie has already torn it apart she is very aggressive chewer i had to remove all the stuffing as she was trying to eat it. The shell of the toy and rope knots are all that is left but she still likes playing with it.
I loved the design, but my 3 month old aussie puppy who is teething torn it open in one day. The fabric is not sewn well, so even the knobby rope ends came off. I was surprised being that it is a Kong product.
None of my three dogs cared much for this, in fact they totally ignore it. Not sure why because my Boston just loves chewing on ropes but does not go near this one. It's really cute so will probably donate it. I would recommend this for other dogs I guess, just not mine :(
We love this chew toy for our pups. It holds up pretty well with their chewing. Eventually they will turn the knots into strings, but we just cut the strings off. So far, this is the pups favorite toy and we have two of them!
We take them outside every day, play with them, Play tug of war, catch me if you can, hide and seek and some of the time, just curl up with them and use them as a pillow or snuggle toy. Some of the time we bring them back into the house. but, usually Mom or Dad will retrieve them for us. If they are dirty or muddy, they get washed and dried. They look brand new every day, Mom thinks they are indestructable! We even sent our cousins Kong Floppy Knots Dog Toys for Christmas.
Toys usually are ripped up in minutes but this and the kong wubba are the only 2 things that have lasted 1 month +. He loves it and despite tug of wars and chew sessions it's still around!
I had high hopes for this being a Kong toy with no stuffing. My dog is a major chewer and rips everything apart within minutes. Rips out the stuffing and immediately destroys any plush toy even though she loves them. I saw this and hoped it was the answer. Nope. It definitely lasted longer than most toys but within a few days she had chewed the knots off the ends and there was string all over the place. She also ripped apart the body pretty easily. Oh well.
