Pretty good, size different is pretty big
We have purchased two of these. One for our pointer (MD) and one for our lab/pit mix (sm). Our lab mix has a slightly smaller chest than the pointer so we opted for the small ad the MD looked like she was wearing a bubble. The small was a little smaller than expected length wise. The neck on the sm I think could be a little wider too. The chest seems to be alright but she looks a little odd with the length. Overall it's taken some time for them to get used to the swoosh sound when they walk but they don't fuss or rub with this on like they did with fleece or cotton.
Too snuggly
This is too tight for the size. Got this for an 8 pound Yorkee on the slender side. The jacket fits way too tightly. I have to loosen to max to make the tiny dog feel somewhat comfortable. I also tried one size up. That was too large. I wish they had something in between their sizes and the cut was not so tight. I don't recommend especially if your dog is on the chubby side.
Awesome jacket!
I have bought numerous dog coats and sweaters for different dogs. This coat works very well on my shepherd/pit mix. She looks fabulous in it, as well. It seems to move with her & stays in the right position. I also bought the matching sweater to go underneath, and it is also very nice. It stretched out quickly, though, wish i could try a medium on her.
Great Idea, Design Flaws, Runs Small
I bought the sweater in the same size. It fit perfectly. This item ran short in the torso length, as well as in the chest and waist circumference. The exposed velcro surface is the hook side, so it catches on everything. The straps would also work better if they velcro from the waist out, instead of from the sides into the center. Easier to adjust fitting and easier to put on a squirmy dog.
Good quality
Good quality jacket I bought it big so my pup can grow into it hopefully it works for camping and when we go to the adirondacks.
Service dog must have
Very impressed with this jacket, tho the XL is still a bit small for my mastiff. That being said, it fits well under my service dog's leather work harness and over her nylon off duty harness. When over a harness, the zipper up top is useful for access to a counter-balance or FMP strap/point. Keeps my service dog warm and helps keep me safe without having to lug around service dog gear for a simple potty walk
Well made, warm and water resistant
Fits my standard poodle well. Although she has a longer/thicker coat for winter, the jacket helps keep her just-blown-out coat smooth after her grooming appointment, otherwise the rain and snow creates a tight mass of frizzy curls...!
Great little coat
Fit my small min pin (10 lbs.) perfectly (XS). Reviewed the measurements carefully. Great construction, easy to use velcro fit. The harness access zipper is great.
Great Shell Layer
It took a minute for dog to warm up to this one. He's usually fine with us putting clothes on him. I think maybe it's the sound the material makes or how it feels? We were able to get him used to it and we're so glad because it's cute and functional. On really cold and windy days, we use it as a liner over his sweater and/or under his wool coat.
Love this Coat: Fits Well, Looks Great + Leash Does Not Pull Coat Off
We absolutely love this coat. We got a size small for our 15 pound Havanese and it fits well (a little loose as we wanted so we can fit a second fleece coat under if needed in winter). Looks great on our little Oakley. No problems with him peeing on it so far. I got this coat because it has a zipper for his harness and leash (as opposed to the tiny holes for a collar) so when he pulls on his leash, it does not rip off the coat like other coats we've had. Love that it will keep him dry and warm and that it is reversible. Great reflective strip for night visibility. Very well-designed coat!
