does it have a handle on top

This harness does not have a handle on top.

I don't see any snap clips for the neckpiece. Does it just slip over the head and you tighten the fastener each time (to put it on)?

This harness uses a tether to tighten and does not have snaps for the neck.

Where on the harness does the seatbelt clip attach to? Is there a back clip on the harness?

There is a back clip attachment for when walking on a leash, along with a front D-ring attachment for no pull training. The tether with the carabiner attaches to both the waist and shoulder seat belts, and then to the harness back strap.

How exactly do you put over dogs head? What exactly is the tether?

To put the harness on your dog, place the upper straps around their head. Wrap the two lower straps around your dog's chest behind their front legs, and fasten the buckles. The Kurgo logo should be pointing up. Adjust the fit by pulling the slide buckles towards the center of the harness, it should be snug but comfortable. The tether is a 10-inch seat belt loop to prevent distracted driving.

Game Changer

I don’t know how to explain but maybe it was the perfect fit so my Min Pin couldn’t pull out or if it is the front hook that didn’t turn around. Whatever it is,

Whatever it is, my baby will be 3 next week and since I started using this he’s not pulling me and we are walking not running. I used to not be able to go no further then across the street. I’m so pleased with this harness

Easy to Install

Easy to install. Has reflective tape for walking in the dark and the handle on top helps me lift her when she needs help getting in or out of the car.

Leaked

Even though it was taped it severly leaked during transport. Perhaps it would not have if it were not shipped with two large 16lb bags of dry cat food.

Toy harness and car safety

This is a wonderful harness for your precious bundle of toy. I had a hard time finding a durable harness that doubles as legal tether for my pup while riding in

This is a wonderful harness for your precious bundle of toy. I had a hard time finding a durable harness that doubles as legal tether for my pup while riding in the car. This one is easy to put on and has multiple areas to adjust the fit. It's gr8 for all types of walking behavior because it has leash connectors over the shoulder blades and in the front. The car attachment came w tether and very strong carabeaner. The only thing I don't like about it is the plastic clips that are used to fasten the harness onto your dog. These would be fine for just a walking harness but when it comes to the safety and well-being of your dog in a God forbid unforseen traffic accident I'd prefer a stronger material used for the fasteners.

not all of it is adjustable

I bought this because it was an extra small for my Yorkie puppy who is just under 5 months old and 5 lbs. After I hooked him up in my car as the instructions said

My boyfriend stayed in the car while I ran back into the house. I came out and my boyfriend was holding my dog on his lap stating the dog got out of the harness. But the harness was still attached to the seat. This is not adjustable for around the body. I’m lucky that my boyfriend was in the car and I wasn’t alone. My dog could have jumped out of the car when I opened the door. Now I can’t use the harness. The only thing I can use is the strap that hooks up to the harness. Thank god I have a harness. I’m not happy with this product.

We purchased an exact model replacement because the former harness lasted several years before wearing out. Unfortunately, the base fastener was missing, and one of the buckles broke within a few days. This harness was either used and returned or not quality-checked at the factory. I added an extra star because the fit is perfect, and Chewy was most likely unaware of the defect.
