Berries are fresh and easy to separate and crumble for our bird. We got these as a transitional food to wean our very stubborn, seed-loving budgie from his original all-seed diet to an all-pellet diet, and within two weeks, we had him eating these, although he still tends to pick through the mix for his favourite bits. We're now transitioning him from the nutri-berries to a pellet diet, but we'll keep the rest of the berries to use as occasional treats because he quite enjoys them.

I gave it away. Our birds just picked the nutri-berries out, and dropped them to the bottom of their cage.

I have bought these berries for many years in spite of the crumble. There is some crumbling, not necessarily due to shipping, age or storage method. I have bought

I have bought these berries for many years in spite of the crumble. There is some crumbling, not necessarily due to shipping, age or storage method. I have bought these berries in several stores, had them shipped by a bird specialty store, used tiny tongs and wrote to the company. They do stick together in the tub, freshness. I refregerate them and they break apart easily. I guess the formula is such that they are delicately held together. In spite of the crumble I have still bought them for years because of how much the parakeets love them. I believe they can be fed as a loose seed replacement too but I put them in a separate dish, always available.
