GREAT FOR HAIRBALLS!!!
We have four cats(lots of hairballs). Three will eat the goo. It does help relieve discomfort and assists them. They eat it straight from tubes. The 4th cat turns his nose at it, none of the tricks worked. We also feed them FortiFlora, which definitely assists in the litter box.
Not so great my Cat
I purchased the Lax Aire for my cat to help her with some poop problems, basically just to help her get it out a little easier and soften it up. No. I tried putting it on her nose as suggested, and she didn't even notice it, so I wiped it off. I tried putting it on her paw as suggested, and she freaked out every time and hopped around the house like a rabid animal until she flung it off. Not once did she ever taste this stuff. Sounds like a good product and sounds like it works, but I couldn't get her to eat it for the life of me.
My cat Roz loves this!
As an old cat, she occasionally gets constipated. She loves the flavor of this so much that I can even bribe her to take her pills by showing her the tube. Pills first, then a dab of yummy she can lick off my finger. And it works!
backed up cat
Fixes my cat right up when hes backed up - good solution instead of going to the vet worked like a charm - i was giving a small amount every day for over a month - I mixed it with a lick-able treat - but I stopped bc I found out it can disrupt the amount of nutrients absorbed from meals - just a heads up - but def recommend
Not working out
I’m sure this is a good product for some pet parents but I can’t get my cat to take this stuff. He won’t lick it off my finger or his paw. If I put it in his food, he refuses to eat. Back to square one.
Be patient.
I bought this because I noticed my 17 year old cat, whom of which has gained a significant amount of weight, was not pooping. I bought this with an enema and the enema worked immediately, but after using this product for several weeks, she is now pooping again. Healthy poops. Be patient. At first I was shoving this down my cats throat, but now they both lick this off my finger. I just let them sniff it and then they eat it up and want more!
Vet Recommended
My vet recommended that I give this daily to my cat with inflammatory bowel disease to help ease her constipation and vomiting. She happily kicks it off of my finger. Laxaire is the only brand she will lick up like that. It helps her to have a BM almost every day and I was able to cut back on giving her Cerenia and steroids. Plus, no more vomiting at all. She was 13 when the IBD started and is now almost 16. It's still being controlled by this regimen. Best of all, she returned to being a happy, active kitty.
Help for hairballs!
Having recently moved, my cat's still adjusting to a new climate. He began having frequent hairballs & my daughter suggested this treatment. He loves it & hairballs have significantly decreased.

... as she does have digestive issues. This also works to soften stools. Been purchasing from Chewy for a few yrs. and have no complaints. Have bought meds, litter, food and a few other things. Once in a while some have been received the next day. THANK YOU CHEWY!!!!
