Manna Pro Small World Complete Guinea Pig Food, 9-lb bag

I used to have to go out of my way to get this particular food, now I can have it delivered!

Affordable and simple. The pigs love it.

I started getting bugs in the guinea pig cage and I kept cleaning it not knowing where they were coming from because they would not go away they were always back immediately after cleaning. I disinfected and cleaned everything still no relief. Finally after about 3 weeks I found the source when I cleaned the cage I refilled their bowl and a big was in the scooper. I had transferred the entire bag into a plastic container with a good seal for this food to stay fresh so I had not realized this was the sources until about 3 weeks later when the bugs had grown enough to see in the good when I mixed it around with the scoop. I look at the container seals around the top and the pugs had been trying to get out but we're unable. There was small dead ones from being squished. I had unknowingly kept putting infested food into the freshly cleaned cage. I throw everything out the entire container and all the food disinfectec everything again from top to bottom. I feel terrible for my poor piggies. Btw the bugs appeared to be maybe a beetle but didn't fly. I am not sure but they were brown and it was disgusting. Buyer beware! Now I will always mix around the food before I feed them to see if I get sent any creepy crawlers but this is the last time I am purchasing this item from this brand. I am hesitant to buy guinea pig food from chewy now because of this. Thank goodness I put the entire bag into a plastic container otherwise I would have ended up with a much worse situation. It was only noticeable when they became a little larger in their lifecycle that they were in the food!
