Best alfalfa based pellets
By Temi on Sep 7, 2020
I wish I could say that my guinea pigs eat Timothy pellets but after trying 4-6 brands I dont try feeding them timothy pellets anymore. There are plenty of knowledgeable experts who recommend Timothy over alfalfa for guinea pigs unless they are under a year old or pregnant. So I wish they would eat timothy pellets but they will not. These Small World alfalfa based guinea pig pellets are pellets my guinea pigs will eat. And that also speaks for guinea pigs I've had but have passed. The price is fair and they have the "made on "date printed on the package so I know when they were made. This is the only food my guinea pigs will eat. They will not eat anything that has other types of dried fruit, etc. mixed in it.

Good food, but the packaging...
By Robbie on Jun 23, 2020
The food is fine, a bit of dust at the bottom , but otherwise fine. The package however, isn’t the greatest. There are small puncture holes all over, which doesn’t help keep the food fresh. And as far as I can tell, they aren’t from anything in my order. They do have a resealable zipper, at least on the 9 pound bag, but I didn’t see the microscopic letters pointing out the zipper, and cut a hole in the top. Better care of the bag and larger letters would make this a much better product.

This is really the only brand my guinea pigs (and rabbits for the rabbit food) eat. It is super affordable and keeps mamma and baby happy.

My guinea pigs are ok with this food. They aren't crazy about it but they eventually will eat it. They may just be picky.

By Angela on May 10, 2020
Love it got it faster than I thought, but opening the box I see the bag of food had a rip and therefore a lot of the food was loose .
