Can a replacement pump be purchased? We purchased one 8 months ago and the motor "broke down".

The dimensions listed are the overall dimensions including the base and the light.

What kind of fish is this appropriate for? I wanted to get my son a couple goldfish would it suffice?

This aquarium would not be large enough for goldfish. In aquariums, adult common goldfish, comets and shubunkins should have at least 20 gallons of water per fish, while adult fancy goldfish should have at least 10 gallons per adult fish. The filter should be slightly over-sized to accommodate high waste production and additional aeration is recommended when goldfish are kept at warmer temperatures. Some general suggestions for this tank would be: Betta Fish (Betta splendens), Guppies (Poecilia reticulata), Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi), Mollies (Poecilia latipinna/Poecilia sphenops), Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus), Neon Tetras (Paracheirodon innesi), Harlequin Rasbora (Rasbora heteromorpha).

Can you keep a white crayfish in it?

White Specter Crayfish should be housed within aquariums of at least 30 gallons for a single adult specimen and will require larger aquariums for more than one specimen.

Adorable small tank with rounded corners. The issue is the pump.

The pump blasts out air causing waves. Bettas are not to be subjected to this much force. The adjustment to the pump is nill and 2 replacements later I give up

The pump blasts out air causing waves. Bettas are not to be subjected to this much force. The adjustment to the pump is nill and 2 replacements later I give up. The second one was external (needs to mount internal in crawl space in tank) and the other was a defected one that just ground noise and tried to blow off the hose and adjustment screw cap. Service from everyone was stellar at the store and manufacturing, but the pump is a disaster.

Great little aquarium for my Betta!

I love this little aquarium and my female Betta does also. Definitely more active. It's an easy set up. Filter is easy to replace and the seamless front is beautiful

I love this little aquarium and my female Betta does also. Definitely more active. It's an easy set up. Filter is easy to replace and the seamless front is beautiful. My pump is pretty quiet and the stand gives it a floating look. I had to play with the water flow due to High being too much. I put it just above Low and turned the nozzle upside down with the flat side facing down. Then I placed it just above the water and it has not blown my Betta around at all. The glass lid is nice and will slide forward or backward some, enough to feed her and has larger opening than those time holes in other small aquariums. We like it and I recommend it. Chewy is great to ship fast also.
