My big girl (90lb cur/mastiff mix) has been on this shampoo for dogs about 2 years now. She has environmental allergies and developed a severe skin problem.....hair falling out, bald spots and itching. I take her about once a week for a bath and her groomer uses this shampoo....leaves it on her for about 3-5 minutes, rinses it off and within a very short time, her skin started to improve. My Vet prescribed this shampoo for her. It is the best for my girl.
fragrance ingredient
The ingredients list seems to have changed on this. I specifically bought it because it didn’t list “fragrance” as an ingredient. It had lavender and lemongrass oils which are way less migraine inducing than whatever petrochemical stank falls under “fragrance”. It’s so frustrating to have scented products be such a problem because they’re extremely hard to avoid, which seems insane when they bother you because they are all exactly like gasoline… sure maybe it smells good for a second but you can’t breathe that and not have it melt your brain. And the fact that it’s not even a necessary ingredient in products but it’s added specifically to get people to breathe it in more…. Whaaat? Anyway I have a migraine, again! Haven’t actually used the product yet. Sniffed it a bunch in disbelief until I saw the ingredients list was different from what was advertised. Dumb on my part there but on a migraine kick lately due to the last brand the vet sold us also smelling like cologne. I don’t know if I even want to try this.
Controls my fur babys pyoderma itch
I just started using this product and it seems to help slot with my fur babys itching. I can see her sore areas seem to be healing quicker. I will continue to use this one and see how it goes because nothing else seems to work.
WOW! Miracle Product
We recently moved to Florida and my dog developed allergies. He’s been on apoquel for 6 months which provided some relief but it seemed the paw licking and itching got worse and worse. With this shampoo this licking and itching has significantly improved. I swear this product is a miracle. Our dog was keeping us up all night licking his paws. We do a 10 min foot soak whenever he starts licking. So thankful for this product.
Terrific Product
After three years of trying to figure out why Jade was losing hair and developing fungal infections our vet recommended this shampoo. Her coat looks great and combined with the spray and an antihistamine her fold no longer gets raw and smelly. It is more expensive then other shampoos but is thicker so it lasts longer. Highly recommend.
It really is a great product
It was recommended by my vet for hair loss by my veterinarian. It has had amazing results on my Maltese hair loss due to allergies. It is just too expensive. Price has jumped 25 percent in last year alone.
Good medicated shampoo
We use this at the clinic I work at all the time and it works amazing for all sorts of allergy skin issues and it really works great for two of my cats. One of my cats gets constant hot spots and the other has really dry and itchy skin with some dandruff and it works really well for the both of them!
MiconaHex shampoo works!
I have a 6month old pocket Bully. I noticed he was starting to develop bald spots from dry skin patches. I looked up brands and came across this shampoo. This shampoo really helped! I tried oatmeal baths and all kinds of products but they would leave my pups hair dry and dull. This shampoo not only helped with my dogs dry skin but also helped keep his coat moisturized.
Amazing product
Between this shampoo and my kitties antifungal medicine her coat of hair is shiny , the ring worm patches seem to be going and healing faster! And I have mastered how to give a cat a bath without being torn to shreds !!!
Works well
Used this to help get rid of the corn chip smell of dogs feet. We've done 4 washes and it's gotten a lot better. Also help with her body odor which may have been due to yeast also.
