I followed the directions how to put it together. I filled it up with water and it started leaking instantly. It can’t be used. I’ll try a different one.
Works well with my C+C cage! Just set it up today and so far no leaking! Which is crazy…. for real it hasn’t leaked after a full 10 hours. I didn’t think that was possible. My guinea pigs are used to the typical water dispensers with a bit wider of a spout but they figured it out in a few hours time. Excited to not have to worry about a gross puddle all the time. It is a bit smaller than what I’m used to, but since it’s not leaking I think the water inside will still last just as long as a bigger one. I will update if anything changes but I’m so happy!
We like this water bottle much better than the typical one with a ball in the spout. The ball sticks sometimes. This water bottle always provide water, no sticking.
Put it together and leaked right off the bat.
I thought I found the perfect water bottle and left a great review. The first one I bought to test it was perfect. Then I bought 6 more and left a glowing review because I thought they were all like the first one in quality. I put them together and then on my guinea pig’s cages. Came back about two hours or so later to find that some of them unfortunately leak and because they can only go on the cage one way, that water ended up on my wood floors. Not good. I’m sad because the first one works so well but some of the other ones leak where the mouth part has to be inserted. I followed all the directions on the leaflet so it must be a defect. Super sad because this is the fourth water bottle type I have bought and had issues with. It is sad that companies can’t make a quality product anymore. Feel like I am constantly wasting money and having only one or a couple from a batch work on any brand is unacceptable. Chewy is good about refunds but still just having to keep ordering, waiting and then being repeatedly dissatisfied and disappointed.
I bought this for my rats as a second water source. I liked that is has a top fill on the outside of the cage, making it easy to fill. Unfortunately my rats have no idea how to use it. I've shown them several times and they just refuse. I'm not sure if it's the down spout or the fact that it's a tiny pointed dripper compared to the regular ball dripper. If your rodents are accustomed to the usual ball dripper, I'd stick with those.
I got 2 of these for my outside rabbits. The rabbits had ro figure how it works. I only used one because came broken.
2 water bottles came in broken
This is awesome. My other water bottle constantly leaked. This one does not leak at all. Make sure to use key to tighten drinking nozzle. Best water bottle ever!!
I got two of these to test out with my guniea pigs. One guniea pig figured it out and used it. The others figured out how to completely drain it however. So I took the bottles and gave them to my hedgehog who uses it just fine. My main complaint is the "key" that came with the bottle. It's made of cheap plastic and warps when you try to unscrew the nozzle. I had to use a pair of pliers to undo the nozzle. Other than I definitely will be getting another one for my other hedgehogs.
